Travel from the village to an area. If no new outbreak appears, return to Jubilife and travel out again. Repeat until another event occurs; this is the recovery method described for Request 101 in Thonky’s Request 101 walkthrough. A Game8 walkthrough for Request 96 gives similar advice.

For Request 101, speak with Mai and give Munchlax Aguav Berries as directed. This reveals outbreak locations on the map.

Go to the outbreaks you want to investigate and catch or defeat every Pokémon at each one. Continue until you have cleared the number required by the request, then report back to Mai.
What “reset” does—and doesn’t—mean
The available guidance explains how to get another outbreak and continue the request. It does not establish a way to erase request progress, replay the opening cutscene, or restart the entire quest chain. Treat an expired event as a chance to wait for another outbreak, not as proof that the quest itself has reset.

When the content becomes available
The Pokémon Company describes Daybreak as free content update Ver. 1.1.0 and says its content is available after you view the game’s end credits. The company describes Massive Mass Outbreaks as mass outbreaks in multiple places in Hisui accompanied by rainstorms. The Pokémon Company’s update page has the official details.
Nintendo’s update notes identify the Massive Mass Outbreak investigations as post-credits requests and say outbreaks remain available after you complete the related requests. That means the events can continue after the requests are finished; it does not establish a way to restart an unfinished request. Nintendo lists Ver. 1.1.0 as released February 27, 2022, and Ver. 1.1.1 as released March 17, 2022, in its update history for Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
