If you’re searching for how to reset a Roblox PIN, Roblox has changed the system: its legacy Parent PIN has been replaced by parent privileges and linked parental controls. To manage a child’s current settings, link your parent account and open Settings > Parental Controls. If you meant your own forgotten Roblox password, use the separate account-recovery process.
Can you reset the old Roblox Parent PIN?
Roblox says it replaced Parent PIN with Roblox accounts that have parent privileges, so the old PIN is not the current way to manage a child’s account. The Parent PIN support page describes the change; Roblox’s current Parental Controls FAQ explains the replacement.
That means PIN-reset instructions or third-party tools claiming to recover or reset a legacy Parent PIN are not the right route for today’s controls. Use a parent account with parent privileges and link it to the child’s account instead.
How to set up current parental controls
- Use a parent’s Roblox account and add parent privileges. Roblox requires an age check for parent privileges. Its FAQ lists facial age estimation or a government-issued ID or credit card as possible age-check methods; which methods are available can depend on region.
- Link the parent and child accounts. On the child’s account, go to Settings > Parental Controls > Add parent, then follow the on-screen steps. See Roblox’s account-linking instructions.
- Manage the child’s settings. Once linked, open Settings > Parental Controls from the parent account. Roblox says linking lets parents manage controls from their own device, on Roblox.com or in the Roblox mobile app.
The controls shown can vary based on the child’s age and region, so a setting another family sees may not be available on every account.

If you forgot the Roblox account password
On the Roblox login page, select Forgot Password or Username and follow the email or phone recovery steps for a contact method associated with the account. If no email address or phone number was added, contact Roblox Support. Roblox requires account ownership to be verified before it can reset the account or change its information.
If you think the account was compromised
Do not treat a possible account takeover as a PIN-reset issue. Roblox’s hacked-account guidance recommends these steps:

- Enable 2-Step Verification.
- If you cannot reset the password, contact Roblox Support.
Protect your Roblox login
Enter login information only on the official roblox.com website or in official Roblox apps. Roblox advises users not to share passwords, cookies, 2-Step Verification codes, or backup codes, and says it does not create official browser extensions. Don’t enter credentials inside a Roblox experience or give them to a third-party PIN-reset service. See Roblox’s account-safety guidance.
