To keep loot from an ARC Raiders raid, extract successfully. When your stash is full, sell items you do not need, dismantle them during a raid, or recycle them at base. Each option clears space differently, and taking valuable gear into a raid risks losing it if you are eliminated.
How do you keep loot from a raid?
ARC Raiders is built around scavenging and extracting loot; your haul only makes it back to Speranza if you survive and extract. The game’s official site describes that extraction-focused loop: ARC Raiders.
Regular extraction points include Airshafts, Subway Tunnels, and Cargo Elevators. Raider Hatches require a Raider Hatch Key. Activating an extraction point can make noise and attract ARC machines or other players, so plan your route and timing rather than treating extraction as automatic. What should you do when your stash is full?
A stash slot holds an item; clearing a slot means choosing what return you want from the item you no longer need. The October 2025 Epic Games Store guide reports 64 default stash slots and says additional slots can be purchased. Those figures and purchase details are not verified as current for October 2026, so check the in-game stash or upgrade screen for today’s capacity and costs.

These item-disposition differences are described in the same October 2025 guide. Before clearing an item, consider whether you need currency, components, or space right now; avoid dismantling or recycling something you may want to keep.
How do you avoid losing valuable gear?
Elimination can cost you the equipment you carried, except for items in Safe Pocket slots, according to the October 2025 guide. Put a high-value item in a Safe Pocket when the slot is available and it fits; otherwise, weigh its value against the chance you will not extract.
Free Loadout can be a lower-risk way to gather resources because you are not risking the same carried equipment, but it has fewer inventory slots and no Safe Pockets. It is therefore less suitable when your plan depends on protecting a valuable find.
Can Expeditions increase stash space?
Embark Studios said on February 5, 2026, that continued Expedition departures award additional stash space and skill points. An Expedition also resets some Raider progress; the announcement says cosmetics, Raider Deck progress, unlocked map regions, leaderboard position, Trials, Codex entries, and Raider Tokens are unaffected. What if stash stacks will not merge?
Embark’s Live Update 1.33.0 notes, last updated June 16, 2026, document a fix for a bug that prevented merging stash stacks from refilling overflow items: Live Update 1.33.0. That confirms a past fix, not that every later version or current inventory problem is resolved. If stacks still behave unexpectedly, check the latest in-game update information and support notes before discarding items that may be affected.
