For games installed on your PC, open the Xbox app and select My Library. For a complete list of installed Windows applications, go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
If you mean every game you own across Steam, Epic, GOG, EA, Ubisoft, Battle.net, Xbox, and standalone installations, no single Windows list is guaranteed to contain everything. Check each native launcher, or use Playnite to build a broader unified catalog.

First, decide what “all my games” means
Windows has no universal database that proves ownership across every PC game store. These are different lists:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →| What you mean | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Installed games | Xbox app, Windows Installed apps, or the relevant launcher |
| Owned games | The Library in the store where you bought or redeemed them |
| Subscription games | Xbox app or PC Game Pass library; access can end when the subscription or catalog availability changes |
| Standalone or portable games | Start menu, install folders, executable files, or a library manager |
A desktop shortcut is only a launch path. It does not prove that the game is still installed or that the signed-in account still owns it.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
Fastest way to see installed games: Xbox app
- Open Xbox from the Start menu.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account used for Xbox purchases or PC Game Pass.
- Open My Library.
- Use the available filters, such as installed, source, or category.
- Select a title to launch it or begin installation when the Xbox app supports that game and storefront.
Microsoft says the Xbox PC app can aggregate installed games from Xbox, PC Game Pass, Battle.net, and other supported PC storefronts. Supported titles may also appear automatically in My Library and Most Recent. See Microsoft’s current explanation of the Xbox PC library.
To control connected sources, open your profile picture → Settings → Library & Extensions. The exact labels and available integrations can vary by Xbox app version, Windows edition, rollout status, and preview participation.
Important limitation: the Xbox app is a convenient central view, not a guaranteed inventory of every PC game you have ever purchased. An uninstalled game, unsupported storefront, standalone executable, hidden game, or title blocked by a filter may not appear. The Xbox app also cannot necessarily install or launch every third-party game without its original launcher.

- 1000Hz Polling Rate: This ensures that your inputs are registered almost instantaneously, minimizing lag and maximizing your performance during competitive play.
- Mechanical Circular D-pad: Designed for quick reactions and accuracy in every direction, this D-pad elevates your gaming experience with superior responsiveness.
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps.
- Search for a game, or sort by name, installation date, or size.
- Open the three-dot menu for available options such as uninstalling or modifying the program.
Microsoft documents this route in its guide to checking installed apps and programs.
This is not a game-only library. It can include launchers, drivers, utilities, and other software. Some launchers list only themselves rather than every game they manage. Portable games copied to a folder may not register as installed applications, while Microsoft Store and Xbox titles can have less obvious file locations or permissions. Games on another drive can still appear in the list, even if that drive is currently disconnected.
Find games in each native launcher
For ownership, reinstall options, DLC, refunds, cloud saves, and account access, the original store is the authoritative source.
| Source | Where to look | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Xbox and Microsoft Store | Xbox My Library or Microsoft Store Library | Purchased titles, Game Pass access, installation status, account, device, compatibility, region, and product type can affect what appears. |
| Steam | Steam → Library | Steam is the best source for your complete Steam collection. Use the Installed filter for games on the current PC and check Steam library folders when a game is on another drive. |
| Epic Games Store | Epic Games Launcher → Library | Clear or disable the Installed filter to see games that are not on the PC. Use refresh if a title is missing. |
| GOG | GOG GALAXY → library | GOG GALAXY can combine connected platforms, but its native GOG features remain important for updates, cloud saves, cross-play, and rollbacks. |
| EA | EA app → Library | EA authentication or the EA app may still be required when a game was purchased or launched through another platform. |
| Ubisoft | Ubisoft Connect → Library | Ubisoft authentication and launcher requirements can remain necessary. |
| Battle.net | Battle.net games tab | The Xbox app specifically identifies Battle.net as a supported source, but Battle.net remains the authoritative place to verify its games. |
| Standalone or disc installations | Windows Settings, Start search, install folders, or Playnite | These may not be visible to store-based aggregators. |
Microsoft Store and Xbox purchases
Open Microsoft Store → Library to review eligible apps and games and use the download button to reinstall one. If a purchase or download is missing, check Microsoft’s Order history. The Microsoft Store library and Xbox app library are related but are not necessarily identical views.

Epic Games troubleshooting
Epic’s library guidance explains that the Installed filter can hide non-installed games. Its missing-library guidance also points to refresh controls, hidden-library settings, refunds, and retailer-issued codes as possible causes.
If the Epic Games Launcher was removed or Windows was reinstalled, Epic says it may not automatically detect previously installed game files. In that situation, the game may need to be selected for installation again; see Epic’s guidance on previously installed files.
Use one catalog for games from multiple services
Playnite: broadest option
Playnite is a free, open-source Windows game library manager that supports Windows 10 and 11 and can connect services including Steam, Epic, GOG, EA, Ubisoft, Battle.net, and Xbox through integrations. Coverage depends on the relevant account connection and plugin.

- MODERNIZED DESIGN — Experience the modernized design of the XBOX Wireless Controller with sculpted surfaces and updated geometry that enhances comfort and control during long gaming sessions.
- PRECISION PERFORMANCE — Stay on target with a hybrid D-pad and textured grips on triggers, bumpers, and back case for improved accuracy and handling.
- SHARE BUTTON: Seamlessly capture and share content such as screenshots, recordings, and more with the new Share button.
- VERSATILE CONNECTIVITY — Connect via USB-C for plug-and-play on console and PC, or quickly pair and switch between supported devices with XBOX Wireless and Bluetooth support.
- BUILT-IN AUDIO SUPPORT — Plug in compatible headsets using the 3.5mm audio jack for direct voice chat and immersive in-game sound.
To set it up:
- Download Playnite from its official site or official GitHub repository.
- Install and open the desktop application.
- Open the library integrations settings.
- Connect the services you use and allow the library to synchronize.
- Filter by installed status, source, platform, genre, tags, or custom categories.
- For standalone games, use Playnite’s add-game workflow, drag in an executable or shortcut, or scan a directory. Its manual explains these import methods.
Playnite can import non-installed games as well as installed ones, making it a better fit than the Xbox app if your goal is a broad collection catalog. The trade-off is setup: integrations may require reauthentication, and community plugins can need maintenance when a service changes its login system or API. Playnite is a library manager, not a replacement for the original store. Native launchers may still handle installation, authentication, updates, DRM, anti-cheat, or multiplayer.
GOG GALAXY: polished alternative
GOG GALAXY can connect multiple platforms and provide custom views, filters, sorting, tags, metadata, and playtime or friends features. It is a sensible choice if you already use GOG and prefer a polished, simple aggregator.
Its integrations can change, and a connected service may not provide every item or feature exactly as its native launcher does. You may still need the original launcher for installation, authentication, updates, DRM, or platform-specific functions.

Installed game missing from Xbox
- Confirm that it was installed through a supported storefront.
- Open the original launcher and verify that the game launches there.
- Check Xbox → profile picture → Settings → Library & Extensions and confirm the relevant integration is enabled.
- Restart both the Xbox app and the original launcher.
- Update Xbox through Microsoft Store.
- Check whether the game is a portable installation or standalone executable.
- Add it manually to Playnite if Xbox does not discover it.
Owned game missing from a library
- Sign in to the account that bought or redeemed the game.
- Check the native store’s Library.
- Remove an Installed only filter and check hidden-game settings.
- Refresh or resynchronize the library.
- Review purchase history, refunds, redeemed codes, family sharing, and regional restrictions.
- Confirm that a subscription entitlement has not expired.
- Check whether the title was delisted or replaced by another edition.
Family sharing can make a game playable without making it owned by the signed-in account. Similarly, a Game Pass title is subscription access, not permanent ownership. A delisted game may remain installed and playable while no longer being available for a fresh download.

Game missing from Windows Installed apps
- Look in the relevant launcher’s Library.
- Search the Start menu.
- Check common installation drives and launcher library folders.
- Search for the game’s executable.
- Remember that a copied or portable game may never have registered as a Windows application.
Which method should you use?
| Need | Best choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Quickly launch supported installed games | Xbox app | Least setup and an aggregated view for supported sources. |
| Confirm ownership or reinstall a game | Native launcher | It is the source of truth for that account and store. |
| Catalog owned and installed games from many services | Playnite | Broad integrations, custom organization, standalone-game support, and Windows 10/11 support. |
| Use a polished multi-platform organizer | GOG GALAXY | Simple connected-library views, especially for GOG users. |
| Find every registered program, not just games | Windows Settings | Lists installed applications across the PC, though it is not game-specific. |
Windows 10 and Windows 11 differences
The Xbox app experience and integration labels can vary between Windows versions, app releases, staged rollouts, and preview channels. Windows 11 uses Settings → Apps → Installed apps; older Windows 10 builds may show slightly different wording, such as Apps & features.
Playnite officially supports both Windows 10 and Windows 11. Regardless of version, multiple Windows users, multiple Microsoft accounts, disconnected external drives, filters, and launcher-specific authentication can change what you see.
Bottom line
Start with Xbox → My Library if you want the quickest central view of supported installed games. Use Settings → Apps → Installed apps as a broader check for registered software. For definitive ownership, open each native launcher; for the fullest cross-service catalog, connect your accounts to Playnite.
