How to See Your Velocity in Apex Legends on PC

On PC, community instructions say to add +cl_showpos 1 to Apex Legends launch options to display position and velocity. EA does not confirm the command, and console support is unverified.

On PC, community instructions say to add +cl_showpos 1 to Apex Legends’ launch options. The reported readout shows position and velocity in the upper-left corner. This is community-reported guidance, not a command confirmed in EA’s current documentation.

Show position and velocity on PC

  1. Open Apex Legends’ launch options in the launcher you use. In Steam or the EA app, EA’s FPS guide explains where to find launch options.
  2. Add +cl_showpos 1 to the launch options, then start the game.
  3. Check the upper-left corner for the position and velocity readout described in the Arqade community answer.

The command is also mentioned in a 2021 Reddit discussion. These reports establish that players have described using it; they do not confirm that it works in every current game or launcher version.

Velocity is not the Performance Display

Apex Legends’ documented Performance Display shows FPS and ping in the top-right corner. EA’s FPS guide says to enable it under Settings > Gameplay. That display is separate from the community-reported position and velocity readout in the upper-left. A Steam FPS counter likewise shows frame rate, not velocity.

What is and is not confirmed

EA’s Apex Legends accessibility settings documentation describes gameplay and HUD options but does not list a built-in velocity toggle or verify +cl_showpos 1. The cited instructions are for PC; the available sources do not establish a console equivalent.
