How do you share items between characters in WoW?
- On the character holding the item, visit a banker and open the Warband Bank. It is separate from that character’s personal bank.
- Deposit the item into a Warband Bank tab if the item is eligible.
- Log in to the character who needs the item, visit a banker, open the Warband Bank, and withdraw it.
Blizzard describes the feature as a way to “Share Items between your characters on a single Battle.net account in one convenient place—your Warband Bank.” The bank is for characters in your Warband; those characters can be on different realms or factions, as long as they are in the same region.
Which items can you put in the Warband Bank?
Blizzard’s general rule is that non-soulbound items can be stored in the Warband Bank. That does not guarantee every item is transferable: binding status and item-specific restrictions can prevent a deposit. Check the item’s tooltip and the current in-game interface if it will not go into the bank; the published guidance does not provide an exhaustive item-by-item exclusion list.
Warbound until Equipped gear
Warbound until Equipped gear can be shared across your Warband before anyone equips it. Blizzard says this gear “can be freely traded across your Warband but becomes Soulbound once it is equipped by a character.” Decide which character should use it before equipping it.

How do you transfer currency to another character?
Currency is not transferred through the Warband Bank as an item. Open the currency interface and use its transfer function for currencies marked as shareable. Some currencies remain character-specific, and some transfers may reduce the amount the receiving character gets. Check the interface’s displayed rules and amount before confirming.
What should you know about Warband Bank limits and access?
Blizzard’s July 2024 overview described up to five Warband Bank tabs, with 98 inventory slots per tab, and said the tabs could be purchased for increasing amounts of gold. Those figures come from that overview and should not be treated as confirmation of current interface details or pricing; check the in-game bank for current availability.

If you use multiple WoW accounts simultaneously, Blizzard notes that only the first character logged into a realm may be able to access the Warband Bank. Warbands are region-specific, so characters on different regional versions of WoW cannot use one shared Warband Bank.
