Roblox sign-out steps vary by platform. Desktop and mobile versions provide a Log Out control, while Xbox uses UNLINK [YOUR GAMERTAG] to disconnect the Roblox account from the console profile. If you cannot access the device, Roblox’s Where you’re logged in tool lets you end its session remotely.
If you want to sign out of Roblox, use the account menu on your current platform: open the account menu and choose Log Out on desktop, use More on Android or iPhone/iPad, or unlink the Roblox account from your Xbox gamertag. If you no longer have access to the device, use Roblox’s Settings > Security > Where you’re logged in feature to end the remote session.

Sign out of Roblox in a desktop browser
- Open Roblox in the browser where the account is signed in.
- Open the account menu. Roblox places account settings behind the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
- Choose Log Out.
- Confirm the sign-out if Roblox displays a confirmation prompt.
On a shared computer, such as one at school, a library, or a friend’s house, close the browser window after logging out. Closing the window alone is not a substitute for signing out, because the account may remain available through the existing browser session.

The Roblox Windows app uses your Roblox account rather than a separate Windows-only profile. To switch accounts, log out of the current Roblox account and sign in with the other account’s usual Roblox credentials.

- Open the Roblox app.
- Open the account menu and select Log Out.
- Return to the sign-in screen.
- Enter the username and password for the Roblox account you want to use.
Roblox now distinguishes the newer Microsoft Store app, named Roblox – Windows, from the older app named simply Roblox. Your progress, friends, Robux, and inventory remain associated with the Roblox account, not with the Windows app installation.
If the app is stuck and the logout control does not respond, close and reopen Roblox, then check whether the account menu is available. Restarting the app can refresh its sign-in state, but simply force-closing it should not be treated as a guaranteed sign-out method.
Sign out of Roblox on Android
- Open the Roblox mobile app.
- Tap More on the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap the account or profile icon in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Log Out in the pop-up window.
- Confirm if Roblox asks you to do so.
Android’s path is different from the iPhone and iPad path. Do not look for the iOS More > Settings route if you are using Android.

- Open the Roblox app.
- Tap More on the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Log Out.
- Tap Log Out again in the confirmation pop-up.
Logging out and back in can also help when Robux, account information, or controls fail to load correctly. If the problem continues, Roblox’s mobile guidance suggests clearing the device’s cookies; the exact steps depend on the device and browser being used. Clearing cookies on one device does not sign the account out everywhere else.

Sign out of Roblox on Xbox
Important: Xbox uses an unlinking control rather than the conventional mobile-style Log Out button. UNLINK [YOUR GAMERTAG] disconnects the Roblox account from that Xbox gamertag; it is not the same as merely quitting the Roblox app.
- From the Roblox Home screen, press the X button on the Xbox controller.
- Select Settings.
- Select Account.
- Select UNLINK [YOUR GAMERTAG].
After the Roblox account is unlinked, you can connect a different Roblox account as appropriate. Roblox’s Xbox login flow can also show the signed-in Xbox gamertag on the home screen, allowing you to select a different Xbox profile before starting.
There are two separate account layers here:
- Roblox account: the account containing your Roblox identity, progress, friends, Robux, and inventory.
- Xbox/Microsoft profile: the Xbox profile and gamertag being used on the console.
Do not sign out of Xbox Live unless you specifically want to change the Microsoft/Xbox profile. To disconnect the Roblox account, use Roblox’s UNLINK [YOUR GAMERTAG] control.

- Sign in to Roblox on a trusted device.
- Open Settings.
- Select Security.
- Find the Xbox connection.
- Choose Disconnect.
This web-based option is useful when the Xbox app’s account menu is difficult to navigate, but it still disconnects the Roblox account from the Xbox connection rather than signing out of Xbox Live itself.
Sign out of Roblox on another device
If you left Roblox signed in on a computer, phone, or console that you cannot access, signing out locally on your current device will not necessarily end the other session. Use Roblox’s session-management controls instead.
- Sign in to Roblox on a trusted browser or app.
- Open account Settings.
- Select Security.
- Scroll to Where you’re logged in.
- Select a session to review its device and approximate location information.
- Choose Log out of session.
To end all other listed sessions at once, select Log Out of All Other Sessions at the bottom of the same section. Roblox keeps the session you are using to perform the action and ends the other sessions.

What to do if you think someone accessed your account
- Use Settings > Security > Where you’re logged in to end the suspicious session, or choose Log Out of All Other Sessions.
- Change your Roblox password to a new, unique password.
- Review your two-step-verification settings and enable two-step verification if it is not already active.
- Review security alerts and account activity for anything you do not recognize.
Roblox advises users not to share passwords, browser cookies, two-step-verification codes, backup codes, or sensitive computer information. Enter login details only on the official Roblox website or in the official Roblox app’s login screen. Never type your password into an in-game form or a third-party website claiming to help you sign out.
If Roblox sends a security alert about an unauthorized sensitive action, use the option indicating that you did not perform the action when available. Roblox’s security guidance also recommends changing the password and checking two-step verification.

Closing Roblox did not sign me out
Quitting or closing the app is not the same as logging out. Reopen Roblox and use the platform-specific logout control. If you no longer have the device, use Where you’re logged in to end its session remotely.

I cannot find Log Out on mobile
Check your platform:
- Android: More > account/profile icon > Log Out.
- iPhone or iPad: More > Settings > Log Out > Log Out.
The Xbox screen does not show Log Out
That is expected in Roblox’s documented Xbox workflow. Press the controller’s X button, then go to Settings > Account > UNLINK [YOUR GAMERTAG]. This disconnects the Roblox account from the gamertag.

Robux or account information is missing
Log out and sign back in with the account that owns the Robux, inventory, and progress. If the issue continues on mobile, Roblox recommends clearing the device’s cookies. Do not assume that clearing cookies will end sessions on other devices; use Roblox’s session-management page for that.
