The MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Closed Beta 2 has ended, so there is no signup open for that test. It ran December 5–7, 2025. A later open beta also ended, and the full game launched in August 2026 for PS5 and PC. Here’s how the closed-beta signup worked at the time—and what applies now.
Can you still sign up for the closed beta?
No. Closed Beta 2 was a past PS5 test, scheduled for December 5 through December 7, 2025. PlayStation’s announcement described a continuous 72-hour test, running from midnight Pacific Time on December 5 until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on December 7, subject to possible interruption for urgent or unforeseen server maintenance. As of October 8, 2026, the official pages cited here do not confirm a newer closed-beta announcement or open application. Do not treat an old PlayStation Beta Program registration as access to a future test.
How Closed Beta 2 signup worked
PlayStation gave different instructions depending on whether someone had taken part in the previous beta. These routes applied to the 2025 test only.

Closed Beta 2 was played on PS5. The announcement identifies PS5 as the platform for the test, but does not say a PS5 was required simply to submit interest; a PS5 was needed to play if selected. Signing up did not guarantee selection.
What the closed beta offered
The test ran for 72 hours across December 5–7, 2025, Pacific Time. CPU battles and online matches were available on December 5 and 6; December 7 offered online battles only. Those dates and modes are over and should not be mistaken for a current play schedule. PlayStation’s announcement lists the test schedule and participation details.

The open beta was a separate, later event
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls also had an open beta on July 24–26, 2026. Unlike the closed beta, it required no registration: players could download it from the PS5, Steam, or Epic Games Store platform store. That open beta has ended too. PlayStation’s open-beta announcement said it ran for 72 hours and featured 15 of the planned 20 launch characters across six stages. It required an internet connection and a PlayStation account; PlayStation Plus was not required for that beta.

The full game launched August 6, 2026, on PS5 and PC, with a regional August 7 launch in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Korea. This is the released game, not a beta signup. Its online requirements differ by platform: the official FAQ says PS5 online play requires internet and PlayStation Plus, while PC online play requires internet and a PlayStation account.
