Spoilers: The Final Puzzle is an optional, multi-playthrough challenge in Resident Evil Requiem. First earn Marie’s Doll by meeting the Care Center conditions and finishing a run; in a later run, analyze the Severed Hand, carry Emily and the doll to the Lead Researcher’s Office, then enter Sun, Sun, Star / Sun, Moon, Star / Sun, Moon, Sun / Moon, Star, Moon.
What you need before entering the code
The Final Puzzle is not required to finish the story. PowerPyx describes it as an optional challenge that rewards 20,000 CP for bonus items. Its route has two parts: earn Marie’s Doll during an initial playthrough, then complete the puzzle-box interaction in a later run. The second-run method is the straightforward route; guides differ on whether some existing saves receive the doll after completion, so do not assume it will be present in every old save. First playthrough: earn Marie’s Doll
1. Wait for 115 bodies in Processing
As Grace in the Care Center basement, reach the Processing room via the conveyor-belt area. Before draining the pool, wait until at least 115 bodies have fallen into it. Guides estimate the wait at about 15 minutes; that timing is an estimate, not a fixed timer. Vandal attributes the 115-body requirement to the in-game Subject 170 Log. Vandal’s guide PCGamesN’s guide
2. Let the grinder process the zombies
Drain the pool and continue through the grinder sequence. Do not kill the zombies in this section; let them be processed. After the blood slide, operate the lever in Collection & Testing and read the displayed message. The success cue is “A ton of blood flowed out.” If it says “A lot of blood flowed out,” the required amount was missed. PCGamesN advises retrying from a save made before this sequence if you see the lesser message. PCGamesN’s guide

3. Flush a West Wing restroom toilet eight times
After returning to the Care Center, go to the West Wing restroom and flush a toilet eight consecutive times before continuing. Some guides say “at least eight,” while others specify eight in a row; doing eight consecutively follows the stricter instruction. Insider Gaming’s walkthrough Vandal’s guide
4. Pick up the doll during the escape and finish the run
Continue through the Courtyard Research Facility escape. After the self-destruct sequence begins, check the bottom of the stairs for Marie’s Doll. Secure it and complete the playthrough so it can be accessed from the item box on a later run. PowerPyx’s walkthrough

Analyze the Severed Hand
In the later run, after escaping the basement, collect the Severed Hand near the southeast elevator and analyze it at a blood-analysis machine. VGC reports the resulting mRNA sequence as GGC AAG AUA ACG UGU CAU. Guides connect the clue to the Sun, Moon, and Star symbols using references found across the game; VGC characterizes the solution as community-recovered, with datamining involved. That explanation is a reported interpretation, not a developer-confirmed account of the puzzle’s intended logic. VGC’s walkthrough
Bring Emily and Marie’s Doll to the puzzle box
Reach the Lead Researcher’s Office while carrying Emily and with Marie’s Doll available. The doll must have been earned and carried over from the earlier run. If either condition is missing, the final interaction is not ready.

If the puzzle box is not working
- The code is rejected or nothing happens: confirm you are at the Lead Researcher’s Office puzzle box, not another puzzle interaction, and enter all 12 symbols in order.
- The route did not unlock: check that you waited for at least 115 bodies, let grinder-section zombies be processed, saw “A ton of blood flowed out,” and flushed the toilet eight consecutive times.
- Marie’s Doll is missing: verify that you picked it up at the bottom of the stairs after the self-destruct sequence began and completed that playthrough. Use a later run with the doll available from the item box; guides do not establish that every prior save or reload will acquire it automatically.
- The final interaction is unavailable: make sure the Severed Hand was analyzed and that you are carrying Emily and have Marie’s Doll available.
