How to Spend Diamonds Wisely in Aion 2: Quna and Diamond Gemstones Explained

First, identify which “diamonds” you have. On the global Aion 2 service, the paid shop currency is called Quna. Diamond Gemstone is a separate, gatherable crafting material reported by the community. They cannot be evaluated with the same spending plan.

If you mean Quna, there is no evidence of a universal best purchase. Use the live shop’s price, purchase cap, and your immediate need to decide whether a convenience item is worth buying. If you mean Diamond Gemstones, treat them as a crafting and gathering resource: keep enough for recipes you actually intend to use, and verify community map locations in game before committing to a farming route.

“Diamonds” can mean two different Aion 2 resources

The wording matters because Quna is bought with real money, while Diamond Gemstones are gathered in the world. The official global product notice from NCSoft uses Quna for recharge packs and shop products; a separate AION 2 Atlas guide uses Diamond Gemstone for vein nodes in Verteron and Altgard. No source reviewed equates the two currencies.

Resource How you obtain it What the available evidence associates it with How to think about value
Quna Recharge packs and other shop systems on the global service Shop items such as spiritstones, keys, storage vouchers, name changes, and server-limited products Compare the item’s function, Quna cost, cap, and your current need
Diamond Gemstone Gathering nodes reported by a community map Accessories, high-tier potions, and soulstones Compare recipe demand, travel time, competition, and whether the node is confirmed in your build

The rest of this guide keeps the two decisions separate. The prices and limits below apply to the global notice dated September 30, 2026, and the gemstone map information is community data retrieved October 12, 2026.

If you mean Quna: know the current price context

NCSoft’s global notice lists the following recharge packs in the Quna Shop’s Recharge section. These are the listed US prices for the Purple Store, not a worldwide price guarantee; NCSoft says prices can differ by store.

Pack Listed US Purple Store price Approximate Quna per US dollar
400 Quna $5.99 66.8
1,000 Quna $14.99 66.7
2,000 Quna $29.99 66.7
4,000 Quna $59.99 66.7

The near-identical rates do not establish a bonus or a “best-value” pack. Your checkout may show a different currency, tax treatment, or price on another store. Confirm the final amount in the shop serving your account before paying.

Where to find the recharge menu

  1. Open In-Game Menu.
  2. Select Shop.
  3. Open Quna Shop.
  4. Choose Recharge.
  5. Read the pack’s final price and the amount of Quna credited before confirming.

Do not confuse this screen with Tsenka Merchant consumables, the separate A2 Mileage shop, or an event starter pack. The official notice lists those systems in different sections and does not make every listed product a Quna purchase.

A practical test before every Quna purchase

Use this five-part check rather than a fixed internet tier list. It works because the official notice supplies prices and limits, but does not publish comparative progression value.

  1. Name the immediate problem. Are you out of storage, trying to recover from a defeat, changing your character’s identity, or buying a server-wide pledge? If you cannot describe the problem, wait.
  2. Confirm the item and currency. Read the item panel in the live shop. Make sure the price is Quna rather than Tsenka, A2 Mileage, an event token, or another resource.
  3. Check the cap that applies to you. Limits may be per character or per server. A purchase that looks available on one character can be unavailable after another character has used the shared allowance.
  4. Compare the purchase with an alternative. Consider ordinary inventory management, a future crafting plan, an in-game source, or simply keeping the Quna for a problem you know you will face. The evidence does not show that spending is required for progression.
  5. Buy only the amount that solves the stated problem. Recheck your remaining Quna and the item’s delivery location after confirmation. Keep a record when the product has a long-term cap.

Current Quna items and how to evaluate them

The following examples are taken from the September 30 global notice. They are an illustrative selection, not a complete shop ranking.

Item Listed cost Limit stated in the notice When it can make sense Question to answer first
Resurrection Spiritstone 100 Quna Not stated in the cited notice excerpt You need recovery immediately and the item is available in the live shop Is this an emergency use, and do you already have another recovery option?
Key: Hidden Cube 50 Quna Three per character per day You have a specific cube to open and the contents address a current goal Will the key produce value now, or are you buying it only because the daily cap exists?
Cube Expansion Voucher 200 Quna 20 per character Your character’s cube space is repeatedly blocking play How many slots do you actually need, and is the cap shared with another character?
Server Storage Expansion Voucher 200 Quna 20 per server Several characters need a common storage pool Will multiple characters use the added capacity before the server cap is reached?
Character Storage Expansion Voucher 200 Quna 20 per character One character has a persistent storage bottleneck Is the problem local to one character rather than the whole server?
Name Change Voucher 500 Quna Not stated in the cited notice excerpt You have a settled identity change you genuinely want Have you checked the name rules and confirmed the new name before paying?
Atreian Pledge of Allegiance 1,000 Quna Four per server You understand the pledge’s function and have a server-level reason to use it Does the server cap mean another character or future choice should receive it instead?

A low Quna price does not automatically make an item efficient, and a high price does not make it wasteful. Storage can be valuable to a player who is constantly discarding materials and irrelevant to someone with unused space. A daily key can be sensible when it unlocks a planned activity and poor value when purchased without a target. Apply the same need-and-cap test to every item that is not shown in the table.

Goal-based Quna decisions

When your problem is inventory space

First determine whether the congestion is in the cube, character storage, or server storage. The vouchers are separate products with separate limits, so buying the wrong type does not solve the bottleneck. Count the categories you intend to retain—crafting inputs, equipment sets, consumables, and quest items—then buy capacity only when the same pressure keeps interrupting play. A server expansion has broader reach, but its 20-use limit is shared across the server; a character expansion is narrower but has its own 20-use character limit.

When you are considering a consumable

Consumables should answer a present activity, not a fear of missing out. For a Hidden Cube key, identify the cube first and check the three-per-character-per-day cap. For a Resurrection Spiritstone, decide whether the current encounter or recovery situation justifies the 100 Quna cost. Do not infer drop rates, combat advantages, or long-term progression gains that the official notice does not state.

When the purchase changes identity

A Name Change Voucher is a personal, irreversible-style decision rather than a routine progression upgrade. Verify spelling, availability rules, and the character selected in the confirmation window. Because the notice lists the voucher at 500 Quna but does not provide a comparative benefit, the sensible standard is simply whether the identity change is worth that amount to you.

When the item is server-limited

Atreian Pledge of Allegiance is listed at 1,000 Quna with a four-per-server limit. Plan those uses across the entire server before buying. A character-by-character impulse can consume a shared allowance that another character would have used more effectively. The same planning principle applies to any future item whose panel shows a server cap.

How to budget Quna without buying a surplus

Start with the item cost, not the recharge pack. If an item costs 200 Quna, a 400-Quna pack leaves 200 Quna for a later decision; if you need 500 Quna, the listed packs require you to choose a balance that may remain unused. Because the listed packs have almost the same Quna-per-dollar rate, buying a larger pack does not, on the published figures, create a documented discount.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Write down the exact Quna cost shown on the item.
  2. Add any other purchases you have already committed to during the same budget period.
  3. Choose the smallest listed pack total that covers those commitments, while accepting that packs do not necessarily match the item cost exactly.
  4. Record the leftover Quna and the next date on which a character or server cap resets, if the item has a recurring limit.
  5. Set a personal spending ceiling in your local currency; the game’s cap is not a budget recommendation.

Prices may vary outside the US Purple Store, and taxes or platform rules can change the checkout total. Use the live purchase screen as the final authority for your region.

What the global launch context does—and does not—tell you

NCSoft announced that Early Access on Steam and PURPLE began September 30, 2026 for Founder’s Pack buyers, with the official launch scheduled for October 5, 2026. The announcement says Early Access included marketplace and economy features and cash-shop cosmetics. That establishes when the global shop and economy were introduced; it does not prove that any Quna item is necessary or that one purchase has the highest progression return.

NCSoft separately reported more than KRW 100 billion in cumulative revenue by January 3, 2026, 46 days after the Korea/Taiwan launch, along with more than one million character membership purchases. Those are historical regional launch-period figures, not a current global spending benchmark and not evidence that an individual player should spend.

If you mean Diamond Gemstones: treat them as a crafting resource

AION 2 Atlas describes Diamond Gemstone veins as material for accessories, high-tier potions, and soulstones. Its interactive map contains 356 pins across Verteron and Altgard, with data retrieved October 12, 2026. The map authors state that they did not verify each pin in game, so the count is a community reference rather than an official spawn total or guarantee.

Decide whether to keep, use, or sell a gemstone

  1. Identify the recipe or upgrade. Check the exact accessory, potion, or soulstone you intend to make. “Diamond” value depends on that recipe’s quantity and your other materials.
  2. Reserve a recipe buffer. Keep the amount required for a near-term craft plus a small margin for failed plans or a recipe change. Do not empty your stock merely because a buyer is available.
  3. Compare opportunity cost. A gemstone used in a high-tier potion may solve an immediate combat or farming need; one used in an accessory may support a longer equipment plan. Choose according to your next milestone rather than a universal ranking.
  4. Check the market or storage rules in your build. The supplied map source does not establish a sale price, drop rate, respawn timer, or binding rule. Read the item panel and your server’s current listings before moving a large stock.

Using the 356-pin map responsibly

Use the map to form a route hypothesis, then verify it with your own character. Start with a small loop in Verteron or Altgard, mark nodes that actually produce Diamond Gemstone, and note travel time, gathering requirements, and competition. If several pins are empty, outdated, or occupied, shorten the route instead of treating every marker as a guaranteed stop. Community pins can help you explore, but they do not replace in-game confirmation.

When gathering is better than spending

If your goal is an accessory, high-tier potion, or soulstone and you have access to the relevant zones, gathering may be the appropriate use of play time. The available evidence does not compare gemstone farming income with Quna purchases, and it does not establish that real-money spending substitutes for the material. Make the decision from your recipe, schedule, and server conditions.

Common mistakes and fixes

  • Mistaking Quna for Diamond Gemstone: Reopen the item tooltip and identify the currency icon and name before confirming.
  • Buying from the wrong shop section: Follow the Quna path through Shop → Quna Shop → Recharge; check Tsenka Merchant, A2 Mileage, and event sections separately.
  • Ignoring a character/server cap: Inspect the limit on the item panel and ask which characters have already used it.
  • Assuming a listed US price is universal: Treat the Purple Store figure as regional and confirm your own checkout total.
  • Following a map pin as a guarantee: Test the node in game and record the result; the 356 community pins were not individually verified by the map authors.
  • Spending to solve an undefined problem: State the item, purpose, and timing first. If there is no concrete use, retain the currency or material.
  • Reading launch revenue as personal advice: Regional historical revenue and membership totals describe business performance, not the value of your next purchase.

A compact decision worksheet

Before confirming a purchase or committing to a gemstone route, fill in these fields:

  • Resource: Quna or Diamond Gemstone.
  • Exact item or recipe: Include the in-game name.
  • Cost: Quna amount, gemstone quantity, or estimated gathering time.
  • Scope: Character, server, or account-wide effect.
  • Limit: Daily, per-character, per-server, or not stated.
  • Immediate outcome: What changes after you spend or craft?
  • Alternative: Existing stock, another character, another route, or waiting.
  • Stop condition: The point at which you will not spend more.

This worksheet keeps a published price or map marker in its proper role: an input to your decision, not a promise of universal value.
