Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTo start a custom Fortnite game with Yunite, configure the host settings in Yunite, open sign-ups, enter the generated key in Fortnite, dispatch players, and start the match only after Yunite says it is ready. The host also needs Epic’s required creator-program access and completed creator setup. Yunite handles sign-ups and player dispatch; Fortnite controls whether the private match can be created.
Before you start
- Host access: Epic requires the host’s account to be active in a creator program, and creator account setup must also be complete. See Epic’s private-match instructions and creator account setup guidance.
- Supported mode: Epic’s private-match guide describes Battle Royale, and its custom-key error guidance explains that some modes do not support custom matchmaking. A third-party Yunite directory describes Solo and Duo setup; check Yunite’s current support community for available modes and configuration.
- Same region: The host and participants must use the same Fortnite matchmaking region.
- Yunite configuration: Set up an announcement channel and game mode in Yunite’s host settings before opening sign-ups.
Set up and start the game
- Configure Yunite. Open Yunite’s web interface, select your Discord server, and go to the host settings. Set the announcement channel and game mode. The directory guide also lists a maximum-player setting and optional result-list channel, reserved roles, and notification role. These controls may change; consult the current Yunite interface or Yunite Support if labels differ.
- Prepare Fortnite. Select a supported mode and set the matchmaking region you and your participants will use.
- Open sign-ups in Yunite. Start the sign-up phase. Yunite’s directory guide says it displays the custom-game key for the host.
- Enter the key in Fortnite. Use Fortnite’s Custom Key control, accept the key, then press Play to open the queue. Do not start the match yet. Epic says keys must be 4–16 characters long and contain no special characters.
- Let players sign up, then dispatch them. Share the Yunite announcement with participants. Once enough players have signed up, use Dispatch in Yunite; the directory guide says Yunite then interacts with selected players and enters the code.
- Start only when ready. Wait for Yunite to report that the match can start, then start the match in Fortnite. Participants need to join before the match begins.
What players joining the custom game should do
- Set Fortnite to the same matchmaking region and mode as the host.
- Enter the exact custom key, including its capitalization, in the Custom Key control and accept it.
- Press Play and join the queue before the host starts the match.
Epic lists a maximum of 100 players in a private match. If more than 100 players enter a key at once, Epic says it randomly selects 100.

Fix common problems
There is no Custom Key option
Check that the host account is active in a creator program and that creator setup is complete. Creator-program membership by itself may not be enough if account setup is unfinished.
Fortnite says the key is not supported
Try an eligible Battle Royale mode and enter the key again. If the error continues, Epic says the account may not have custom-match access.

- Redemption: Online
Players cannot join
Check that everyone has the same region and mode, entered the exact case-sensitive key, and joined before the host started the match.
Yunite’s controls do not match these steps
The sign-up and dispatch sequence described here comes from a third-party directory rather than an official, current Yunite manual. Check the live Yunite interface or ask in the Yunite Support community for current control names and mode options.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
