To start bounty hunting in Cattle Country, visit the Sheriff’s building and pick up a job from a Wanted Poster. Track down and defeat the wanted bandit in the wilderness, then return to Sheriff Tom to claim your reward. Playtonic’s announcement does not specify a story milestone or other progression requirement for making posters available.
How to accept and complete a bounty
- Go to the Sheriff’s building. Look for the Wanted Posters there.
- Pick up a bounty.
- Head into the wilderness and locate the wanted bandit.
- Defeat the target.
- Return to Sheriff Tom to collect the reward.
These are the steps in Playtonic’s Bandits & Bounties announcement. The publisher does not say whether a particular story milestone, relationship level, or other save progression is needed before Wanted Posters appear.

Bandit camps are a separate activity
Bandit camps may appear as you explore the overworld and can offer plunder. Playtonic describes them separately from poster bounties, so clearing a camp is not stated as a requirement for accepting or completing a bounty.

More bandit encounters
Besides bounty targets and overworld camps, random robberies or shootouts can occur at the General Store, Butcher, Carpenter, and Bank.

Tools, equipment, and crafting
- The Toolbelt lets you craft away from a crafting table.
- The Extra Large Bag expands inventory to four rows.
- The Animal Trap gathers animal resources.
- The Rock Tumbler processes rocks and may uncover rare gems.
- The Tailoring Table lets you make clothes and hats.
Fishing, customization, and other changes
- Visit the docks on Tuesdays and Saturdays to reach a special fishing spot with fish from every season.
- Character options include new outfits, hats, head accessories, and red hair.
- The update also adds expanded NPC dialogue, displays inventory counts beyond 9,999, and includes bug fixes and improvements.
Update availability
Playtonic announced the PC update as available on August 24, 2026, and announced its console release on October 5, 2026, linking PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch storefronts. The publisher announcements confirm availability but do not give platform-specific installation instructions. If the update is missing, check the game’s platform page or your platform’s update manager.
