You can stream Tamil movie songs continuously on YouTube Live at 4K/2160p and 60 fps if your encoder, source, and sustained upload connection can support it. For YouTube’s current encoder guidance, target 35 Mbps video with AV1 or H.265/HEVC, or 50 Mbps with H.264; use CBR and a two-second keyframe interval. Before anything goes live, secure rights for each recording and any film footage, and arrange for the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A capable setup does not give you permission to rebroadcast songs.
What you need for a continuous 4K60 stream
There are two separate requirements: a stable technical setup and permission to broadcast the content. YouTube’s 4K60 ingest targets are substantial, and a continuous playlist also needs an encoder or cloud service that keeps sending the stream. Neither a high bitrate nor an always-on setup solves copyright or licensing issues.
- A channel enabled for live streaming, with no live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time enablement can take up to 24 hours.
- A 3840 × 2160, 60 fps source and an encoder capable of sending that format with a YouTube-supported codec.
- A stable internet connection that can sustain the chosen video bitrate, plus overhead for audio and network variation.
- A playlist or playback workflow that can repeat the authorized material without stopping, and a way to monitor stream health and audio/video quality.
- Permission covering each song recording and any accompanying film clips, plus Content ID allowlisting for the channel.
Choose encoder settings for YouTube 4K60
YouTube’s encoder guidance, accessed in 2026, gives these 4K/2160p at 60 fps video bitrate targets:
| Video codec | Minimum bitrate shown | Recommended bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| AV1 or H.265/HEVC | 10 Mbps | 35 Mbps |
| H.264 | 14 Mbps | 50 Mbps |
Use the recommended figure as the video ingest target, not as a promise that your connection will remain stable. Run a speed test and test the actual encoder, source, and connection before scheduling a long broadcast. A connection that fluctuates around the target may drop frames or lose the ingest even if a brief speed test looks adequate.

Video and transport
- Set output to 3840 × 2160 at 60 fps and select a supported codec: H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1.
- Use CBR bitrate encoding and a two-second keyframe interval. YouTube recommends two seconds and says the interval should not exceed four seconds.
- Use RTMPS where your encoder supports it; YouTube recommends this secure extension of RTMP.
- For the published advanced settings, use progressive scan, square pixels, and Rec. 709 for SDR. These settings do not make an SDR source HDR.
Audio and latency
YouTube lists AAC or MP3 audio, 44.1 kHz stereo, and 128 Kbps stereo audio in its advanced settings. Check that the audio remains synchronized with the video during your test. At 4K, YouTube uses normal latency; low-latency optimization is unavailable. YouTube transcodes the live ingest into formats for viewers using different devices and networks, so the encoder’s 4K60 input does not mean every viewer will receive 4K60.
Secure song and film rights before scheduling
Tamil movie songs are usually third-party recordings, and accompanying film footage may have separate rights. You need authorization for the specific material and intended use; a song being publicly available on YouTube, a consumer music subscription, or owning a copy does not establish rebroadcast rights.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. A match may cause a placeholder to replace the stream, and continued use can lead to interruption or termination. If you have a license, ask the relevant rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist before broadcasting. YouTube warns that a stream can still be interrupted without allowlisting even if the content is licensed or viewing is limited to territories where the creator holds the necessary rights.
Confirm rights track by track, including the recording, any film clips, territories, term, and permitted use. Content ID claims on an archived live stream may be made after the stream ends, but that does not prevent enforcement or interruption while it is live.

Set up and test the DIY broadcast
- Enable live streaming. Verify the YouTube channel and confirm it has no live-stream restriction from the previous 90 days. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule the stream. Get the stream URL and key for the encoder. Treat the key as a password: anyone with it may be able to send a feed to your event.
- Prepare an authorized playlist. Arrange the recordings in the desired order and configure your playback and encoder workflow to repeat them continuously. Make sure the source files actually contain the resolution and frame rate you intend to deliver; encoding a lower-resolution source at 4K does not restore missing detail.
- Configure the encoder. Send 3840 × 2160 at 60 fps using one of the supported codecs and its corresponding recommended bitrate. Set CBR, a two-second keyframe interval, compatible audio, and RTMPS where available. Enter the event’s stream URL and key.
- Run a representative test. Use an unlisted or otherwise appropriate test event. Include audio and movement similar to the planned stream, preview the incoming signal in Live Control Room, and check stability, synchronization, and image quality before going public. YouTube specifically recommends testing with representative audio and movement.
- Start and monitor the event. Watch stream health messages and check audio/video quality during the broadcast. Confirm the event is accessible from the channel or watch page and on mobile devices.
- Choose whether to enable DVR. If enabled, viewers can pause, rewind, and resume the live stream. Decide whether that behavior fits a continuous music channel.
Pick a software or hardware encoder
YouTube lists OBS as free, open-source streaming software and also lists professional hardware encoders. Choose based on the source and production workflow, and verify that the exact software or hardware configuration can sustain your intended codec, resolution, frame rate, and bitrate. A dedicated encoder may suit a studio workflow, but it is optional; equipment does not confer music rights.
YouTube’s encoder listings describe the Osprey Video Talon as accepting inputs up to true 4K and supporting feeds up to 4K60p over IP. Confirm the current model configuration, availability, and suitability directly before buying; a listed capability alone does not establish that a particular system is right for your stream.

Keep the stream running: local setup or cloud
A DIY encoder sends the feed from the device running your playback and streaming software. That device and its connection must remain available for the broadcast. A cloud service can instead loop uploaded videos, so your home computer does not have to stay on.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping a channel live from uploaded videos. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It does not broadcast from a camera.

Troubleshoot common problems
- Live Control Room shows an unstable or unhealthy stream: Check the sustained upload connection, encoder bitrate, and whether another process is using bandwidth. Repeat a representative test; do not assume a brief speed-test result reflects a long broadcast.
- The stream will not start: Confirm live streaming is enabled, the correct event’s stream URL and key are in the encoder, and the key has not been mistyped or replaced. If this is the channel’s first live stream, activation may take up to 24 hours.
- The picture is not 4K60: Check the source format and encoder output dimensions and frame rate. Confirm the chosen codec and bitrate are set for 4K60; a lower-resolution source cannot gain detail just by being upscaled.
- Audio is missing or out of sync: Verify the selected audio input, AAC or MP3 encoding, 44.1 kHz stereo setting, and synchronization in a test event. Check again after playback has been running for a while.
- The playlist stops or repeats incorrectly: Check the playback workflow’s loop behavior and file order before going live. Monitor the encoder output rather than assuming that a playlist continues after a file ends.
- YouTube replaces or interrupts the stream: Treat a copyright match as a rights issue, not a bitrate fault. Stop or replace the material unless the relevant rights holder has confirmed permission and Content ID allowlisting for your channel.
