How to Stream Dodgers Games When They’re Blacked Out

A Dodgers blackout depends on your location and the game’s broadcaster. Here’s how to choose between SNLA+, a participating TV provider, and MLB.TV.

If you’re in the Dodgers’ home television territory, MLB.TV does not provide live access to a game blacked out there. For a game carried by SportsNet LA, the in-market option is SNLA+ or a TV provider that carries the channel. Outside the Dodgers’ home territory, MLB.TV is the relevant out-of-market service, but it still follows blackout and national-broadcast rules. First check where you are and which network has that specific game.

Why a Dodgers game is blacked out

MLB’s blackout rules are based on broadcast territory and rights, not simply on whether the Dodgers are playing at home. MLB says home-territory restrictions apply whether the club is home or away and whether or not the game is televised in that territory. A device setting or app troubleshooting cannot grant live access when a territorial restriction applies. MLB’s package terms describe the rule using the term “home television territory.”

A blackout may also reflect a game’s specific broadcast assignment. SNLA+ carries games broadcast by SportsNet LA, not Dodgers games assigned to other networks. Check the listing for the particular game before choosing a service.

Choose a service based on your location and the game’s broadcaster

Your situation Route to check Important limit
In the Dodgers’ home television territory; game is on SportsNet LA SNLA+ through MLB.com or the MLB app, or a participating TV provider carrying SportsNet LA SNLA+ is territory-restricted and excludes games broadcast by other networks. Confirm local availability and the game listing.
Outside the Dodgers’ home television territory MLB.TV’s out-of-market package Other blackout restrictions and national exclusivities still apply.
The game is assigned to a national or other broadcaster Use the broadcaster listed for that game SNLA+ does not include games broadcast by other networks.
You already subscribe to a TV provider Check whether your package and location qualify to authenticate for SportsNet LA or SNLA+ Eligibility depends on provider, package, and location; verify current terms.

SNLA+ through MLB

MLB describes SNLA+ as access to SportsNet LA programming through MLB.com and the MLB app for fans in the Dodgers’ home territory. It includes Dodgers games shown by the network, along with pregame, postgame, and original programming. MLB’s September 1, 2025 announcement states that Dodgers games broadcast by other networks are not included.

MLB’s package listing, accessed October 4, 2026, shows SNLA+ at $29.99 per month and says 140+ Dodgers games are available live or on demand in the Los Angeles Dodgers home television territory. The game count is not a promise that every Dodgers game is included. Check the current MLB package listing for the latest price and terms before subscribing.

Existing TV-provider access

MLB says Spectrum TV customers whose package includes SportsNet LA and DirecTV customers whose package carries the channel can authenticate. MLB also describes no-extra-cost access for qualifying Spectrum customers who have both internet and mobile service. The applicable package and eligibility can vary, so confirm current details with MLB or Spectrum before relying on access.

Watching from outside the Dodgers’ home territory

MLB.TV is the relevant option for out-of-market Dodgers games. It is not a live workaround for a viewer inside the Dodgers’ home territory: MLB’s territorial blackouts and national exclusivities still apply. Review MLB’s current package terms and check the specific game’s broadcast assignment before purchasing.

How to check your eligibility before paying

  1. Check your location. Use MLB’s current territory and service-availability information to determine whether your address is in the Dodgers’ home television territory. The official pages use territory terms but do not provide a complete boundary map in the referenced material, so do not infer eligibility from a nearby city alone.
  2. Look up the game’s broadcaster. Confirm whether that matchup is on SportsNet LA or another network. SNLA+ covers SportsNet LA games, not every Dodgers broadcast.
  3. Check subscriptions you already have. If you subscribe to Spectrum or DirecTV, verify that your package carries SportsNet LA and that your account can authenticate. For Fubo, check both the local footprint and current plan inclusion.
  4. Match the service to the rights. Choose SNLA+ or a participating provider for eligible in-market SportsNet LA games; consider MLB.TV for out-of-market viewing, subject to its remaining restrictions.

Prices, provider eligibility, channel carriage, territory determinations, and game assignments can change. Confirm the current details with the service and broadcaster before subscribing.
