In Minecraft Bedrock Edition, use /tp <player> @s to bring one player to your location. For example, /tp Alex @s teleports Alex to the player running the command. You need permission to use commands; enabling cheats in a Bedrock world also permanently disables achievement unlocks in that world.
Teleport one player to your location
- Open the chat command line.
- Enter
/tp <player> @s, replacing<player>with the player’s current in-game name. For example:/tp Alex @s. - Run the command. The first argument selects who moves;
@sis the command executor and sets the destination.
In the Bedrock command reference, /tp is an alias for /teleport, and the target-then-destination syntax supports this use. The same reference gives /tp @a @s as an example for teleporting all players to the executor. Microsoft’s Bedrock teleport command reference was last updated March 10, 2026.
Bring everyone instead of one player
To teleport all players to the command executor in Bedrock, use /tp @a @s. The selector @a targets all players, so use a player’s name or a selector for the intended individual when you want to move only one person.
Enable commands and check permissions
Commands begin with a slash when entered in chat. Whether the command works depends on world settings and your permissions:

- Bedrock single-player: In the world’s settings, open the Game tab and turn on Allow Cheats if required. Mojang notes that enabling cheats permanently prevents achievements from being unlocked in that world, even if cheats are later turned off.
- Java single-player: Mojang’s commands guide says to enable Allow Commands when creating the world or later through World Options.
- Multiplayer: Your account needs a sufficiently high permission level. If the server is not yours, ask an operator or administrator for access.

Check the command if it fails or moves the wrong player
- The command is rejected or unavailable: Check that commands or cheats are enabled and that you have the required permission.
- More players move than intended: Check the first argument. In the documented Bedrock example,
@ameans all players; use the specific player’s name or an appropriate selector instead. - The destination is not where you expected:
@smeans the entity executing the command. If a command block, console, or another context runs it, the executor may not be the player whose location you intended. - The syntax differs from the example: Mojang’s general guide lists
/teleport [target player] <destination>, but command syntax and settings can vary by edition and version. Follow the in-game command suggestions or the reference for your edition.
