How to Tell Humans and Visitors Apart in No, I’m Not a Human

Visitors can resemble humans in No, I’m Not a Human. Use the day’s broadcast, examinations and multiple clues together, and treat community character guides as spoiler-prone player references.

You cannot reliably identify a Visitor from one feature alone. In No, I’m Not a Human, compare the day’s broadcast with what you learn from examining and questioning each guest, and treat individual signs as evidence rather than proof. The game’s official Steam page frames the task as looking for signs and deciding whom to shelter; it does not publish a complete diagnostic chart for every character.

How identification works

No, I’m Not a Human is a single-player anxiety-horror game developed by Trioskaz and published by CRITICAL REFLEX. Steam lists its release date as September 15, 2025. In the game’s apocalyptic setting, daylight is dangerous and Visitors arrive at night looking for shelter. You question the people who knock and decide what to do with them.

The game is designed around uncertainty: Visitors look and speak like people, so the decision is not presented as an obvious visual check. Steam’s description tells players to look for signs, but the official store page does not give a comprehensive, character-by-character list of tells.

Use the broadcast and examinations together

An unofficial visitor-identification guide describes daily television broadcasts as a source of physical signs and examinations as actions that use limited energy. It also cautions that humans can share traits associated with Visitors. Treat those mechanics as the guide’s account and confirm what applies in your own game.

  1. Check the current broadcast. Note the sign it identifies for that day before judging a guest.
  2. Look at the person and weigh the available clues. A visible trait may matter, but it is not a universal verdict.
  3. Question the guest for context. Consider what they say alongside the physical evidence rather than treating dialogue as automatic proof.
  4. Choose whether an examination is worth its energy cost. Use one when it could help resolve meaningful uncertainty, not just because a guest seems unusual.
  5. Make the decision with the evidence you have. The game asks you to assess guests; the public store description does not promise a definitive checklist for every encounter.

Why one physical clue is not enough

Players have reported features such as differences in eyes, hand rashes, missing fingertips, nail condition, and photo or aura differences for particular character archetypes in a Steam Community discussion. These are character-specific player reports, not universal rules. Participants in that discussion also disagree about some details, so do not condemn or trust every guest based on a single listed feature.

Using character guides without spoiling yourself

The Steam Community guide index includes player-made identification guides, including lists of signs for individual tenants and an attribute spreadsheet. These can help when you want a spoiler-heavy reference, but they are not official documentation and may be incomplete or change as players update them.

Don't Overthink It Conversation Card Game by We’re Not Really Strangers
  • A BOLD NEW GAME FROM WE'RE NOT REALLY STRANGERS — with 150 ‘would you rather’ questions that you didn't know you needed to ask. Reveal sides of your friends, your partner, and yourself that you've never seen before.
  • THREE CATEGORIES - Use the spinner to let fate decide which deck you pull a card from. Land on LIFE for the big questions, LOVE for relationship dilemmas, or for the answers nobody saw coming. With each conversation starter card, the conversations are guaranteed to go places you didn't expect.
  • NO EASY ANSWERS - These questions might feel impossible to answer, and that is by design. Watching other players struggle to choose is half the fun, and the other half is learning more about them, whether you use it as a conversation card couple activity or with a whole group, based on their answers.
  • THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE - Don't overthink it. Your first instinct is the most honest one. This game works best when you stop second-guessing and start saying how you really feel for a fun party game or a relationship card game.
  • WHAT’S INSIDE - 150 unique ‘would you rather’ question cards divided into three categories, and 1 spinner.
  • Check that a guide is about the character you actually encountered.
  • Compare its advice with the broadcast and examination information in your current run.
  • Be prepared for spoilers: character-specific tells may reveal encounters or outcomes.

What the official information does—and does not—settle

Steam’s official description establishes the core premise: guests may appear human, and the player must look for signs and interrogate them. It does not provide a complete public diagnostic table. For detailed tells, players rely on community-maintained material, whose character-level claims should be treated as potentially incomplete and version-dependent rather than as official rules.
