Keep each platform account as the authoritative record, then connect a cross-platform tracker for a combined view. A service such as Exophase can display achievements from several console, PC, mobile and retro systems in one web profile, while Playnite Achievements can place supported achievement data inside a Playnite PC library. Neither approach automatically turns separate platform records into one universal account, and neither should be confused with synchronizing a game’s save or progress.
Check the game’s own rules, account-privacy settings and each tracker’s current platform list before linking anything. Coverage, authentication requirements and cross-progression behavior vary by game and service.

What “track achievements across platforms” actually means
There are three different tasks that are often described with the same words:

- Checking a native record: viewing trophies, achievements or challenges on the platform where they were earned.
- Aggregating records: allowing a third-party dashboard to read several accounts and present their existing data in one profile.
- Synchronizing game progress: linking accounts so a supported game’s saves, inventory or progression can be used on more than one device.
Aggregation is the practical answer when you want one checklist for a multi-platform library. It does not move a trophy from one platform account to another. The source account remains the authority, and a tracker is showing data retrieved from that source. A game may separately support cross-save or cross-progression, but that feature does not prove that its platform achievements transfer.

Achievement ownership can also differ. Epic Games explains that “Epic Games achievements” are owned by Epic and may be added by developers, while achievements earned inside a game can be owned and operated by the developer. Its achievement view groups the current achievements by game and provides sorting and filtering controls (Epic’s explanation of achievements). A tracker must therefore know which source system it is reading and what that system exposes.
Keep the platform account as your source of truth
Before connecting any service, open the platform’s own trophy or achievement page and make sure the unlock is present. If the native page is missing an unlock, a third-party profile usually cannot manufacture it; troubleshoot the platform or game first.
PlayStation games on PC
For a PlayStation game that supports trophies on PC, Sony says to press Shift+F1 while playing to open the PlayStation overlay and then select Trophies. The official support page states: “Yes, trophy progress is tracked based on the game you’re playing. If the game can be played on PC and console, your trophy progress will be valid on both platforms.” Read that statement narrowly: it applies to a game available on both PC and console within Sony’s trophy system, not to every platform pairing or every title. Epic’s achievement page is useful for checking achievements that Epic exposes for your account. Select a game, then use the available sort and filter controls to locate an achievement. A developer-run in-game achievement system may be separate, so compare what the game itself reports with what the platform account shows.

Choose an aggregation method that matches your platforms
Two documented approaches cover different use cases. Check their current documentation before signing in because platform support can change.

How to compare trackers
- Platform coverage: verify each account you actually use, not just the service’s headline list.
- Aggregation versus synchronization: confirm that the feature is a read-only combined view if that is what you need; do not assume it merges saves or progress.
- Privacy and authentication: determine what must be public, which login method is used and what permissions are requested.
- Refresh behavior: check whether updates are automatic, manual, limited to recent games or available for a full library refresh.
- Known gaps: read the service’s platform-specific notes before interpreting a missing game as a failure.
Set up a cross-platform achievement profile
The following sequence avoids most false “missing achievement” reports.
- Inventory your accounts. Write down the platform accounts that contain your games and identify which games you want to track. Include console, PC, mobile and retro services only if you actually use them.
- Verify one unlock natively. Open the platform trophy or achievement page and confirm the game, account and unlock date. For a PlayStation title on PC, press Shift+F1, choose Trophies and check the list in the overlay.
- Review visibility controls. Exophase says tracking failures are commonly caused by privacy settings that hide gaming activity. Change the relevant gaming-activity visibility setting on the source account, then review the tracker’s privacy policy before authorizing access. Do not make more information public than you are comfortable sharing.
- Choose the profile type. Use Exophase when you want a browser-based profile spanning its listed ecosystems. Use Playnite Achievements when your primary goal is an achievement panel and notifications inside the Playnite desktop library.
- Authenticate only supported accounts. Sign in through the tracker’s documented platform settings or account-connection flow. If a service does not list a platform, do not substitute a different login or assume that a similarly named account will work.
- Run an initial refresh. In Playnite Achievements, use its platform settings tab to complete login, then choose the refresh scope offered by the extension. A refresh can target installed games, recent games or the full library; the project’s README says a full refresh retrieves achievement data for all games.
- Compare a small sample. Pick one recently played game from each connected platform and compare the native page with the aggregate profile. Check the title, platform edition and unlocked count before importing or organizing a large library.
- Record the game’s rule. For any title you play on more than one system, look for an official statement from the platform or publisher about trophies, achievements, cross-save or cross-progression. Keep those as separate notes because one feature does not establish the others.
Are trophies cross-platform?
Only when the particular platform and game document that behavior. Sony’s support statement covers trophy progress for a game that can be played on both PC and console, and says progress is valid on both. It does not establish universal trophy sharing between unrelated platforms, different publishers or games that merely have the same title.
When a game has separate PC and console releases, check whether they use one trophy list, separate lists or a publisher account layered over platform accounts. A shared publisher login can provide cross-save while leaving each platform’s achievement list independent. Treat the platform’s own support page as the decisive source for that title.

Cross-progression is not achievement aggregation
Epic’s guidance for supported Fortnite, Fall Guys and Rocket League progress illustrates the distinction. You link the platform accounts to an active Epic account, and the described setup allows one account from each supported platform to be connected. If the platform progress differs, Epic says that progress cannot be merged in that process; you must choose which progress to keep. Read the current instructions at Epic’s account-progress support page before changing links.
That procedure concerns game progress, not a promise that every achievement transfers. Linking accounts can also have irreversible or difficult-to-reverse consequences if you select the wrong progress state. Capture screenshots or note the current state of each account before making a change, and follow the game’s unlinking warnings exactly.
What each documented tracker can and cannot show
Exophase coverage and gaps
Exophase’s FAQ lists PlayStation Network, Xbox, Steam, GOG, Ubisoft, EA, Blizzard, Google Play, Epic, Nintendo Switch, Apple Game Center and Retro Achievements among its supported ecosystems. The service presents those records in a web profile and provides a progressive web app; it is not described as a native application distributed through the iOS or Android stores. Use the current Exophase FAQ and homepage to confirm coverage before connecting a new account.

Blizzard tracking is currently limited to StarCraft II and World of Warcraft game data. Ubisoft tracking is limited to challenges rather than the achievements displayed in the Ubisoft client. A missing item from one of those ecosystems may therefore be a documented coverage boundary, not an authentication error.

Playnite Achievements behavior
Playnite Achievements is designed around a Windows desktop library. Its documentation names Steam, GOG, Epic, Battle.net, EA, Game Jolt, Riot, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, RetroAchievements and several emulator sources, along with other integrations. It supports login through a platform settings area, refreshes for installed games, recent games or the entire library, unlock notifications and manual achievement entries.
Those capabilities make it useful when Playnite is already your launch and catalog hub. They do not guarantee that every game’s metadata, DLC list or platform edition is complete. A source can be supported while an individual title is absent, delayed or represented differently from its native account. Check the project’s current documentation and issue notes for your exact source before relying on a count for completion planning.

The unlock appears on the platform but not in the tracker
- Confirm that you are viewing the same account, game edition and region on both pages.
- Check the source account’s gaming-activity privacy setting. A hidden profile can prevent a tracker from reading new data.
- Reauthorize the account through the tracker’s supported login flow; do not paste credentials into an unofficial form.
- Run a targeted refresh, then a full-library refresh if the service documents one. In Playnite Achievements, the full refresh is the option intended to retrieve data for all games.
- Check the service’s platform limitations. Blizzard and Ubisoft data on Exophase, for example, do not represent every type of client-side achievement.
The tracker shows an old count
Refresh behavior differs by service. A recently played-game refresh may not revisit older titles, while a full-library refresh can take longer and may place load on the source service. Allow the refresh to finish, then compare one game’s individual list rather than relying only on the profile total.
Two versions of the same game are combined incorrectly
Look for separate entries for the console release, PC release, remaster and DLC. If the native platform uses distinct trophy or achievement lists, keep those entries separate in your notes even when an aggregate profile places them under one franchise heading. Never infer a shared list from a shared save file.

A linked account has the wrong progress
Stop before unlinking or relinking repeatedly. Epic’s documented progress-sync flow says differing platform progress cannot be merged in that process and requires choosing which progress to keep. Read the official instructions, identify the account that contains the desired state and save evidence of both states before selecting an option.
A maintenance routine for a reliable profile
- After a session: let the native platform finish uploading the unlock, then refresh the tracker if immediate visibility matters.
- Monthly: review connected accounts, privacy settings and the tracker’s current platform list. Services can change integrations and coverage.
- Before a platform move: document the game’s save location, publisher-account links and achievement-list structure. Treat cross-save, cross-progression and trophies as separate checks.
- When retiring an account: export or record the native achievement pages you care about, because a third-party profile depends on continued access to its source data.
- For completion goals: use the native list to verify requirements and the aggregate profile for planning across systems. A combined dashboard is a convenience layer, not a replacement archive.
Privacy and account-security checks
Achievement profiles can reveal game ownership, play activity, timestamps and usernames. Set visibility deliberately on every source account. Read the tracker’s privacy policy, understand whether your profile is public and remove connections you no longer need. Use the platform’s official authentication route and enable any available account security controls. If a tracker cannot explain what data it reads or how to disconnect it, do not connect your main account merely to test a feature.
Keep a distinction between a public profile URL and the credentials that authorize access. Sharing the former may be harmless under your privacy settings; sharing the latter can compromise the source account. Review connected-app permissions after testing and revoke access that you no longer use.

Which approach should you use?
Choose native pages only when accuracy for one platform matters
This is the least complicated method for verifying an unlock, investigating a date or checking a game’s exact trophy list. It avoids third-party privacy and refresh issues but leaves you switching between accounts.
Choose Exophase for a browser-first combined view
Exophase fits players who want one profile covering several of its listed console, PC, mobile and retro ecosystems. Confirm that your accounts expose enough activity and that the service’s documented gaps do not affect the games you care about.
Choose Playnite Achievements for a PC library workflow
Playnite Achievements fits users who already manage games in Playnite and want achievement counts, notifications and manual entries alongside the library. Its desktop focus and source-specific behavior make it less suitable if you need a phone-only or browser-only workflow.
Whichever route you choose, preserve the native account as your reference, verify the exact game rule before expecting cross-platform progress and treat a missing aggregate entry as a diagnostic question rather than proof that an achievement was lost.
