Palworld does not use a conventional player-to-player trade window. To give a Pal to a friend, either drop the Pal as a Pal Sphere while you are together in the same multiplayer world, or share a Palbox through a Guild. The direct drop is fastest; the Guild method is more controlled for organized sharing. The Global Palbox is a separate option for moving Pal data between worlds when your game build and server settings support it.

What “trading” means in Palworld
The documented friend-to-friend exchange in Palworld is a handoff rather than a negotiated trade screen. You do not open a two-sided window, place a Pal into an offer slot, and confirm an exchange. Instead, the owner either creates a pickup-able Pal Sphere in the shared world or places the Pal in storage that a Guild member can access.

- Direct Pal Sphere drop: quickest for a one-off gift, but anyone close enough may be able to pick up the sphere.
- Guild Palbox handoff: better for a coordinated exchange because the relevant Palbox is shared through Guild access, but it requires both players to use the same Guild.
- Global Palbox: intended for storing Pal data and transferring Pals between worlds; it is not the same as dropping a sphere to someone standing beside you.
A February 2024 guide described these actions as workarounds because there was no official player-trading feature at that time. The mechanics remain best understood as drop-and-share methods, so do not expect a dedicated trade confirmation screen unless a later game update adds one.

Requirements before you hand over a Pal
For a direct drop
- Both players must join the same multiplayer world. Being friends on a platform or having each other on a server list is not enough if you are in different worlds.
- The Pal you intend to give must be in the giver’s Party. A Pal sitting in a Palbox cannot be selected for the direct Party drop until you move it into the Party.
- Choose a quiet, private location. A dropped Pal becomes a Pal Sphere that another nearby player may collect before your friend does.
- Agree on a signal or voice-chat cue so the recipient is ready when the sphere appears.
For a Guild Palbox handoff
- Both players must have access to the same Guild. Invite the friend or join the friend’s Guild before attempting the storage method.
- A Palbox must be available for the Guild to use. Build one or travel to an existing Palbox your Guild can access.
- The giver needs to move the Pal from the Party into that Palbox. The recipient then moves it from the Palbox into their own Party.
- Only use this with people you trust, because Guild access also exposes the relevant shared storage.
For the Global Palbox
Pocketpair’s Crossplay Update v0.5.0 announcement describes the Global Palbox as a way to “Store Pal data in the Global Palbox and transfer Pals between worlds!” It also describes access for Guild members and a personal-storage option with private settings. The exact menus and permissions can depend on your current build, world configuration and server settings, so confirm that the feature is enabled before relying on it for a handoff.
Method 1: Drop a Pal Sphere directly to a friend
This is the fastest option when both players are already together. It does not require a Guild, but it does require careful timing and a location where an unrelated player cannot intercept the sphere.

PC instructions
- Join the same multiplayer world as your friend and meet at a quiet location.
- Open your Party with P.
- Select the Pal you want to give. Verify that it is the correct Pal before dropping it; the Pal must be in the Party, not only in a Palbox.
- Press R to drop the selected Pal.
- Confirm that the Pal has appeared as a Pal Sphere on the ground.
- Have your friend pick up the sphere. Picking it up is the receiving action; there is no second trade-window confirmation.
Keep the Party screen open only long enough to select the intended Pal. If several Pals have similar names or appearances, check the selection carefully before pressing the drop command.

Xbox and controller instructions
- Enter the same multiplayer world and stand with your friend in a secluded area.
- Open the controller Party menu.
- Highlight the Pal to be given. It must be in the Party.
- Use the drop command shown by the current on-screen controller prompt. Controller layouts and prompts can change after patches, so use the displayed command rather than assuming a particular face button.
- Wait for the Pal Sphere to appear, then let your friend pick it up.
There is no universally safe Xbox button to quote across every control layout and game build. If your prompt differs from a guide or from another player’s controller, the in-game Party menu is the authoritative instruction for that session.
What the recipient should do
The recipient should stand close enough to see the sphere, avoid opening another menu at the handoff moment, and pick it up as soon as the giver confirms the drop. Once collected, the Pal is available to the recipient through the normal Party and storage management screens. If another player reaches the sphere first, the intended recipient may not receive it, which is why a private location and a ready signal are important.
How to make a direct drop safer
- Use an enclosed base area or another place where unrelated players are unlikely to pass through.
- Ask the recipient to stand directly beside you and confirm that they can see your character before you open the Party menu.
- Do not drop the Pal while a crowd is moving around you. A sphere on the ground is exposed to nearby players.
- Keep the handoff to one Pal at a time so both players can verify which sphere is being collected.
- If the sphere does not appear, stop and check the Party selection instead of repeatedly pressing the command in a crowded area.
Method 2: Use a Guild Palbox for organized sharing
The Guild method replaces a vulnerable ground pickup with shared storage. It takes more setup, but it is useful when the players are cooperating in the same Guild or when the giver wants the recipient to retrieve the Pal after a short delay.

Step 1: Establish Guild access
- Invite your friend to the same Guild, or join the friend’s Guild.
- Confirm that both of you can use the Guild’s Palbox. If the friend cannot see or interact with it, resolve the Guild or permission issue before moving the Pal.
- Choose which Palbox will be used so neither player deposits the Pal in an unexpected location.
Guild membership is not a cosmetic step here. It is the access mechanism for the shared Palbox, so the method only works while the relevant players have the necessary Guild access.
Step 2: Deposit the Pal
- The giver places the Pal to be transferred in their Party.
- Open the selected Palbox.
- Move the Pal from the Party into the Palbox.
- Tell the recipient which Palbox and slot to check. If several Pals look alike, use the Pal’s identifying details rather than relying only on its position.
Step 3: Have the recipient claim it
- The recipient opens the same Guild-accessible Palbox.
- Selects the deposited Pal.
- Moves it from the Palbox into their own Party.
- Checks that the Pal is present in the Party before either player leaves the area or changes Guild arrangements.
The storage handoff avoids the public pickup problem of a direct drop, but it introduces a trust boundary: Guild members can access the shared Palbox. Use the method only with people you are comfortable allowing into that shared storage, and coordinate before changing Guild membership or access.
Which method should you choose?
| Method | Speed | Access control | Interception risk | World scope | Trust requirement |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Direct Pal Sphere drop | Fastest for a one-time handoff | Controlled by location and timing | Higher in a public or crowded area; another nearby player may pick it up | Both players must be in the same multiplayer world | Friend must be ready to collect the sphere |
| Guild Palbox handoff | Slower because Guild and storage setup are required | Shared through Guild access | Lower than a public ground drop, but Guild members can access the relevant Palbox | Shared Guild Palbox in the world | Trust everyone who has that Guild storage access |
| Global Palbox | Depends on feature availability and current settings | Official update describes Guild access and private-storage settings | Depends on the configured access and server rules | Designed to transfer Pal data between worlds | Follow the current build’s permissions and privacy settings |
For a quick gift while you are already together, use the direct drop in a quiet place. For a planned exchange involving Guild members, use the Guild Palbox. For moving a Pal between separate worlds, investigate the Global Palbox first; a normal Party drop cannot bridge different worlds.

Moving Pals between worlds with the Global Palbox
The Global Palbox addresses a different problem from local multiplayer sharing. Pocketpair’s Crossplay Update v0.5.0 announcement explicitly presents it as storage for Pal data and transfer between worlds. That makes it the relevant feature when the giver and recipient are not meeting in one shared world, provided the current game build and server configuration expose the feature.
What the feature does
- Stores Pal data in a global repository rather than only in a single world’s ordinary Palbox.
- Supports transferring Pals between worlds.
- Allows Guild members to access it, according to the update announcement.
- Can be used as personal storage with private settings, so access is not necessarily identical for every player or server.
How to approach a cross-world handoff
- Check that your current Palworld build includes the Global Palbox and that the world or server settings permit its use.
- Review whether the storage is configured for personal access or Guild access. Do not assume that a Pal placed there is visible to every player.
- Place the intended Pal into the Global Palbox using the current in-game interface.
- Have the recipient enter the destination world or otherwise access the same configured Global Palbox.
- Verify that the recipient can see the Pal and move it into their Party or local storage before considering the transfer complete.
The update announcement establishes the feature’s purpose, but exact behavior can change with patches and settings. If the Global Palbox is missing, private when you expected Guild sharing, or unavailable in a particular world, use the local direct-drop or Guild method instead of assuming that a failed cross-world transfer has completed.

The drop command does nothing
- Confirm that the Pal is in the Party. A Pal in a Palbox cannot be selected by the Party drop action.
- On PC, reopen the Party with P, select the Pal, and use R. On Xbox, read the current controller prompt in the Party menu because the displayed command may differ by layout or patch.
- Make sure you are in a multiplayer world with the recipient, not separate worlds or menus.
- Move to a clear area and try once more rather than repeatedly issuing the command in a crowd.
The friend cannot find the sphere
- Ask the giver to confirm that the drop actually occurred and that a Pal Sphere appeared.
- Have the recipient stand beside the giver before the next attempt.
- Check whether another nearby player picked it up. If the location was public, interception is a real possibility.
- Repeat the handoff in a private or quiet location, with the recipient ready before the drop command is pressed.
The recipient cannot access the Palbox
- Verify that both players are members of the same Guild.
- Confirm that the chosen Palbox is the one the Guild can use and that the recipient can open it.
- Have the giver deposit the Pal only after access is confirmed, then have the recipient move it into their Party.
- If Guild membership or permissions changed during the process, restore the required access before attempting another deposit.
The Global Palbox is unavailable
Check the game build, server settings and privacy configuration. The Global Palbox is described as part of Crossplay Update v0.5.0, but feature availability and exact controls can depend on the current build and world configuration. If it is not offered, use a same-world handoff instead.

- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.
- Dual C-Clamp Hold - Worried your dual monitors might wobble or slip? Our upgraded base uses a larger platform plus a dual C-clamp structure to lock the dual monitor arm firmly to your desk. Each arm safely keeps your screens steady while you type, click and game—no shaking, no sliding, just a clean and secure setup you can trust every day. Whether you’re working from home, gaming through the night, or switching between video calls and documents, getting the screens to your natural line of sight helps relieve neck, shoulder and back strain so you can stay focused longer with less fatigue.
- Keep Your Desk Organized: By lifting both screens off the desktop, this dual monitor stand opens up valuable space for your keyboard, notebook, docking station or a simple, clutter-free work area. Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
A guide shows a different button
Controls and feature names can change after patches. Treat the PC controls documented here—P for Party and R to drop—as the stated keyboard path, but follow the current on-screen prompt if your key bindings were changed. On Xbox, use the command displayed by your current controller Party menu rather than copying a button from an older guide.
Safety, trust and etiquette
A Pal handoff is only as secure as the access method you choose. Direct drops expose the sphere to nearby players, while Guild storage exposes the relevant Palbox to Guild members. Neither method should be treated as a private, irreversible trade contract.
Quick Recap
- Confirm identity: use voice chat or another agreed signal so the correct friend is ready.
- Confirm the Pal: name or otherwise identify the Pal before moving it out of the Party or into shared storage.
- Limit exposure: avoid public hubs and crowded bases for direct drops.
- Limit Guild access: do not use a shared Palbox with players you do not trust.
- Verify receipt: the recipient should check their Party after pickup or withdrawal before anyone disconnects or changes worlds.
- Respect server rules: administrators can configure multiplayer access and settings, and those settings may affect which storage features are available.
Quick decision guide
Use a direct drop when…
- You and your friend are already in the same world.
- You want the fastest possible one-Pal handoff.
- You can move to a quiet place and coordinate the pickup.
Use a Guild Palbox when…
- You both belong to, or can join, the same Guild.
- You want a storage-based handoff instead of a sphere lying on the ground.
- You trust the other Guild members who can access that Palbox.
Investigate the Global Palbox when…
- The Pal must move between different worlds.
- Your current build includes the feature and the server settings allow it.
- You can verify whether access is personal or Guild-based before depositing the Pal.
Final checklist
- Choose direct drop, Guild Palbox or Global Palbox based on whether the players share a world and what level of access control is appropriate.
- For a direct drop, put the Pal in the giver’s Party, open Party with P on PC, select the Pal and press R; on Xbox, use the current Party-menu drop prompt.
- Have the friend ready before the Pal Sphere appears.
- For a Guild handoff, confirm shared Guild access, deposit the Pal into the agreed Palbox and have the recipient move it into their Party.
- For a cross-world transfer, check Global Palbox availability, privacy and Guild settings before using it.
- Verify that the recipient has the Pal before ending the session.
