To bring your progress over, transfer the PS4 saved data using the console’s system-level transfer, a USB drive, or PlayStation Plus cloud storage. These are PS4 save-transfer methods—not a confirmed, game-specific migration feature.
Choose a transfer method

| Console-to-console | You can access the PS4 that has the save and want to transfer saved data through the consoles. |
| USB copy | You can copy the PS4 save to USB storage and then copy it to the PS5. |
| Cloud storage | The save is already available in PlayStation Plus cloud storage under the account you will use on PS5. |
PlayStation documents all three as ways to move or retrieve PS4 saved data. It does not state that one is universally faster or safer.

Transfer from PS4 to PS5 over your network
PlayStation’s console-to-console transfer supports saved data from PS4 games playable on PS5. Prepare both consoles before starting:

- Update both consoles’ system software and synchronize trophy information.
- Connect both consoles to the same network.
- Do not change network settings or run an internet connection test during the transfer; PlayStation warns this could damage or lose data.
If PS5 setup is not complete
Follow the on-screen data-transfer instructions during the PS5’s initial setup.

If PS5 setup is complete
- Turn on the PS4 that contains the save and sign in to the intended user.
- On PS5, open Settings > System > System Software > Data Transfer > Continue.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to find the PS4 and select the data to transfer.
After initial setup, the PS4 saved data eligible to transfer is limited to the user logged in on the source PS4. PlayStation says one source console can transfer to one destination PS5. The PS5 restarts during the process, and some data may continue transferring after it restarts.
Copy the PS4 save using USB storage
PlayStation also supports copying PS4 game saved data to USB storage, then copying it from the drive to the PS5. The official instructions do not specify a required drive brand, model, or capacity, so there is no particular USB drive you need to buy for this method.

Use PlayStation’s saved-data transfer instructions to copy the PS4 save to USB and then to the PS5. Check the destination before copying: if a save for the same game already exists on the PS5, the USB copy can replace it.
Download the save from PlayStation Plus cloud storage
PlayStation Plus members can download saved data from cloud storage. On PS5, sign in to the account associated with the save and use the console’s saved-data controls to download it. First verify that the desired Central Fiction save is actually in cloud storage; a PS4 save is not necessarily uploaded automatically or available under a different account. PlayStation’s transfer and saved-data guidance covers retrieving saved data.

What to expect when playing on PS5
The PlayStation Store listing identifies BlazBlue: Central Fiction as a PS4 game playable on PS5, while cautioning that some PS4 features may be absent. Sony’s PS5 backward-compatibility guidance says the overwhelming majority of 4,000+ PS4 games are playable on PS5, but notes that some games may show errors or unexpected behavior. The available official guidance does not establish a native PS5 edition, an in-game save migration flow, or a guarantee that every save element and feature behaves identically.

If the save does not appear
- Confirm you are using the same PlayStation account that owns or uploaded the save.
- For console transfer, check that the intended user is signed in on the source PS4; after PS5 setup, only that user’s eligible saved data can transfer.
- For cloud retrieval, confirm the save is present in cloud storage rather than assuming it uploaded.
- Update both consoles and, for console-to-console transfer, confirm they are on the same network.
- If copying from USB, verify you selected the correct save and take care not to replace a newer PS5 copy.
