How to transfer your progress to The Crew Motorfest: collection import and cross-progression

The Crew Motorfest has two separate transfer systems: a one-way The Crew 2 Collection Import and automatic Motorfest cross-progression. This guide explains the exact menus, account requirements, transferable content, platform limits and Switch 2 exceptions.

“Transfer your progress” in The Crew Motorfest can mean two different things. If you want your garage from The Crew 2, use Import My Collection. It brings eligible vehicles and vanities to Motorfest when both games use the same Ubisoft account. If you want to keep playing an existing Motorfest save on another platform, Motorfest uses automatic cross-progression and cross-save with that same Ubisoft account.

These systems are separate. Collection Import is a one-way move from The Crew 2 and cannot be undone after it is completed. Cross-progression carries supported Motorfest progress between platforms, but purchases made through one platform’s store generally do not become entitlements on another platform.

Choose the transfer you actually need

Use this distinction before opening the game. Selecting the wrong path can lead to an irreversible collection import or to the mistaken expectation that a store purchase will follow you to another platform.

Your goal Feature What to do
Bring your older The Crew 2 garage into Motorfest Collection Import Sign in with the Ubisoft account linked to your The Crew 2 save, then choose Import My Collection. Eligible vehicles and vanities move one way into Motorfest.
Continue an existing Motorfest career on another supported platform Cross-progression and cross-save Install Motorfest on the other platform and sign in with the same Ubisoft account. The supported Motorfest progression is associated with that account automatically.

There is no need to buy a second copy solely to perform a collection import if you already have access to Motorfest on your target platform. The transfer instructions concern account data; they do not create a new game license.

Before you start: account and platform checks

  • Use the same Ubisoft account. For Collection Import, it must be the account associated with the The Crew 2 save. For cross-progression, it must be the account holding your Motorfest progression.
  • Know which data you are moving. Collection Import concerns eligible vehicles and vanities from The Crew 2. Cross-progression concerns Motorfest progression and selected content across supported platforms.
  • Decide before confirming an import. Ubisoft says a completed Collection Import cannot be reversed.
  • Check the target platform. Ubisoft’s October 2026 Nintendo Switch 2 guidance says Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save work on Switch 2, but The Crew 2 Collection Import is not available there.

If you are unsure which Ubisoft account your console or PC profile uses, stop before selecting an import. Starting the process on the wrong account will not bring in the collection attached to a different account.

Also distinguish an account connection from a platform license. Linking a console or PC profile to Ubisoft Connect identifies your save, but it does not grant ownership of Motorfest on every device. You still need access to the game on the platform where you intend to play.

How to import your collection from The Crew 2

Import during Motorfest’s first launch

  1. Launch The Crew Motorfest on a supported platform.
  2. Confirm that the Ubisoft account in the Motorfest session is the same account associated with your The Crew 2 save.
  3. At the first-launch prompt, select Import My Collection.
  4. Review the confirmation information and complete the import.

Ubisoft describes this import as free. It transfers eligible collection items rather than copying every piece of The Crew 2 data. The eligibility rules and the one-way nature of the action apply even when you start the import during the opening setup.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Do not treat the first-launch screen as a cloud-backup prompt. It is a deliberate choice about which eligible items should be brought into Motorfest. If your account contains several linked platform profiles, verify the Ubisoft account shown in the session before accepting.

Import after choosing “Start From Scratch”

You do not have to make the decision on the first screen. If you chose Start From Scratch, Ubisoft provides an in-game route to begin the import later:

  1. Open Motorfest’s main menu.
  2. Choose Options.
  3. Open Game Settings.
  4. Select Import My Collection.
  5. Confirm the import only after checking the Ubisoft account and understanding that the completed action cannot be undone.

Deferring the choice lets you begin Motorfest without immediately importing the garage. Deferral does not turn the import into a reversible operation; once you complete it, the decision remains final.

This delayed route is useful if you want to learn Motorfest’s handling, playlists and menus first, or if you are waiting to decide whether the eligible vehicles fit your new garage. It does not create a second import slot or a preview that can later be rolled back.

What Collection Import brings over

Eligible vehicles and vanities

Collection Import is designed to bring eligible vehicles and vanities from The Crew 2 into Motorfest. An item must be available in both games to qualify. This is why a vehicle in your older garage may not appear in the Motorfest import result if Motorfest does not yet support it.

“Eligible” does not mean every item visible in your The Crew 2 inventory. It means Ubisoft has made that vehicle or vanity available in both titles and included it in the import system. The destination game, not only your ownership history, determines whether an item can appear.

What does not transfer

Performance parts do not transfer. The import is not a complete technical duplicate of every build, tuning component or upgrade attached to a vehicle in The Crew 2. Plan to configure performance in Motorfest using the systems and parts available there.

Some vehicles may be absent because they are not currently available in Motorfest. Ubisoft’s support guidance also says additional vehicles may be added later, so a missing model is not automatically evidence that the account link failed. Eligibility is determined by availability in both games at the time of the import.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Expect the import to affect collection ownership, not to reproduce your old progression state. It does not turn your Motorfest career into a copy of your The Crew 2 career, and it should not be used as a method for carrying over upgrade inventories.

The direction and cost

  • Direction: one way, from The Crew 2 to Motorfest.
  • Price: Ubisoft says the Collection Import is free.
  • Reversal: unavailable after the import is completed.

Because the action is one-way, take a moment to inspect the account and decide whether you want the eligible collection in Motorfest now or would rather keep playing from a clean start for the time being.

Collection Import platform availability

Ubisoft’s 2023 Collection Import FAQ lists PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. That list predates the Nintendo Switch 2 release, so it should not be read as evidence that every later platform supports the feature.

Ubisoft’s October 2026 Switch 2 FAQ makes the current exception explicit: Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save are supported on Nintendo Switch 2, but The Crew 2 collection import is not available on Switch 2. Therefore, moving a The Crew 2 garage into Motorfest on Switch 2 is not an available path, even though an existing Motorfest save can use cross-progression there.

For the older supported-platform list, the practical requirement remains the same: the Motorfest session and the The Crew 2 save must resolve to the same Ubisoft account. A supported console by itself cannot make an import work when the saves belong to different accounts.

How Motorfest cross-progression works between platforms

What you need to do

  1. Install or launch The Crew Motorfest on the second supported platform.
  2. Sign in to the same Ubisoft account used for your existing Motorfest progression.
  3. Start the game and allow the account connection to load your progression.

Ubisoft describes Motorfest cross-progression as automatic between supported platforms. There is no separate Collection Import-style command for moving a Motorfest career. The important action is signing in with the correct Ubisoft account.

Automatic does not mean that every local setting or every purchase is mirrored. It means the supported progression attached to the Ubisoft account is available when you use that account on another supported platform. If the game opens as though you are a new player, stop and verify the account before creating or advancing a different save.

Progress and content Ubisoft says can be shared

Ubisoft’s current content-sharing guidance identifies the following Motorfest items as shareable across supported platforms when they are tied to the same Ubisoft account:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Earned Bucks
  • Crew Credits
  • Cosmetics
  • Liveries
  • Prestige Tickets
  • Vanities
  • Vehicles

This list describes account-linked Motorfest content. It does not convert a purchase made in one platform store into a purchase entitlement for every other store.

The distinction matters when you own both earned and purchased content. Cross-progression can expose the account’s supported inventory, but storefront billing remains controlled by the platform that processed the transaction.

What does not automatically follow you

Content purchased through an in-game or platform store is not shared across platforms in the same way as earned progression. Ubisoft’s Switch 2 guidance specifically names purchases made through Xbox, PlayStation, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store or Steam as examples that do not transfer as Switch 2 entitlements.

In practical terms, a vehicle or vanity you earned through gameplay can be available through cross-progression, while an item or currency bought through a platform storefront may require the relevant entitlement on the platform where you want to use it. Do not treat “cross-progression” as “cross-store ownership.”

Switch 2: the two rules to remember

Nintendo Switch 2 combines support for one transfer system with an exclusion from the other:

Feature on Switch 2 Current Ubisoft guidance Account or purchase condition
Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save Supported Use the same Ubisoft account as on the other supported platform.
The Crew 2 Collection Import Not available A The Crew 2 garage cannot be imported into Motorfest on Switch 2 through this feature.
Purchases made through another platform’s store Do not transfer as Switch 2 purchases Examples named by Ubisoft include Xbox, PlayStation, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store and Steam.

If your plan is to continue a Motorfest career on Switch 2, use the same Ubisoft account and expect supported progression to load. If your plan is to bring in a The Crew 2 collection specifically on Switch 2, the current answer is no.

Troubleshooting transfer problems

The import option is missing at first launch

If you selected Start From Scratch, open Options > Game Settings > Import My Collection from the main menu. The first-launch prompt is not the only opportunity to start the import.

The wrong collection appears, or nothing appears

Check the Ubisoft account first. Collection Import uses the account associated with the The Crew 2 save, not merely the console profile currently signed in. Exit and reconnect with the correct Ubisoft account before confirming any import. Do not complete an import while signed into an account that does not contain the intended save, because Ubisoft says completed imports cannot be undone.

If you changed platforms recently, check both account links rather than assuming that the platform’s primary profile is the Ubisoft account that owns the older save. Account identity is the common requirement for both transfer systems.

A vehicle or vanity is missing

Verify whether the item is available in Motorfest. Only items available in both games are eligible, and Ubisoft notes that some vehicles may be added to Motorfest later. Performance parts are not included, so missing upgrades are expected rather than evidence of a failed vehicle import.

Motorfest progression is absent on the second platform

Confirm that both platforms use the same Ubisoft account and that you are launching Motorfest rather than looking for a The Crew 2 collection import. Cross-progression is automatic for supported platforms, while Collection Import is a separate, one-way feature.

A purchased item is unavailable on the other platform

Check where the item was bought. Ubisoft distinguishes shared account progression from store entitlements. A purchase made through one platform’s store may not be recognized as a purchase on another platform, including Switch 2.

You are deciding whether to import now

There is no deadline stated in the import instructions that forces an immediate choice. Start from scratch if you want to defer the decision, then use the in-game menu later. Just remember that the decision becomes permanent once you confirm the import.

Examples: which path fits your situation?

You played The Crew 2 and are starting Motorfest

Choose Import My Collection if you want eligible vehicles and vanities from your existing garage. Use the same Ubisoft account, and remember that performance parts will not come across. If you want to explore Motorfest without importing immediately, choose Start From Scratch and return to Options > Game Settings > Import My Collection later.

You already play Motorfest on PlayStation and want to continue on PC

Use Motorfest cross-progression: sign in on PC with the same Ubisoft account. Supported progression and shareable account content can load automatically. Do not assume that a purchase made through the PlayStation Store becomes a PC store entitlement.

You want to continue Motorfest on Switch 2

Use the same Ubisoft account for cross-progression and cross-save. This supports continuing Motorfest progression, but it does not enable importing a The Crew 2 collection on Switch 2, and purchases made through another platform’s store do not transfer as Switch 2 purchases.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

You own The Crew 2 on one account and Motorfest on another

The shared-account requirement is not satisfied in that arrangement. Collection Import looks for the The Crew 2 save on the Ubisoft account used by Motorfest, while cross-progression looks for Motorfest progress on that same account. Do not expect a platform switch alone to merge separate Ubisoft accounts.

Best Value

Quick decision checklist

  1. Moving a The Crew 2 garage? Choose Collection Import.
  2. Moving an existing Motorfest career? Use automatic cross-progression with the same Ubisoft account.
  3. Need to postpone the garage import? Choose Start From Scratch, then use Options > Game Settings > Import My Collection later.
  4. About to confirm Collection Import? Verify the account and accept that the import cannot be undone.
  5. Expecting upgrades to move? Performance parts are excluded.
  6. Using Switch 2? Cross-progression and cross-save work, but The Crew 2 Collection Import does not.
  7. Moving a purchased item? Check the store entitlement; shared progression does not guarantee cross-store ownership.

Bottom line

For a The Crew 2 garage, use the free, one-way Collection Import on a supported platform, with the same Ubisoft account, and expect eligible vehicles and vanities rather than performance parts. For an existing Motorfest save, simply sign in with that account on another supported platform and let cross-progression load your account-linked progress. Nintendo Switch 2 supports the second path but not the first, and store purchases remain subject to platform-specific entitlement rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I import my The Crew 2 collection after starting Motorfest from scratch?

Yes. Open the main menu and choose Options > Game Settings > Import My Collection. The completed import is still one-way and cannot be undone.

Is The Crew 2 Collection Import free?

Ubisoft says the Collection Import is free.

Do performance parts transfer from The Crew 2?

No. Eligible vehicles and vanities can transfer, but performance parts do not.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Can I undo a completed collection import?

No. Ubisoft says a completed Collection Import cannot be reversed.

Does Motorfest cross-progression require the same Ubisoft account?

Yes. Sign in on each supported platform with the Ubisoft account that holds your Motorfest progression.

Do purchases transfer between PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Switch 2?

Not generally. Ubisoft distinguishes shared account progression from store entitlements; purchases made through another platform’s store do not become purchases on the destination platform.

Can I import The Crew 2 into Motorfest on Nintendo Switch 2?

No. Ubisoft’s October 2026 guidance supports Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save on Switch 2 but says The Crew 2 Collection Import is unavailable there.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Why is one of my vehicles missing after import?

Only items available in both games are eligible. Some vehicles may not yet be available in Motorfest, and performance parts are excluded.

The Bottom Line

Use Collection Import for an eligible The Crew 2 garage, and cross-progression for an existing Motorfest save. Both require the correct Ubisoft account; the first is free but irreversible, while store purchases may remain platform-specific.
