Start by identifying when the crash happens and comparing your PC with the game’s published targets. Then test the lower-risk steps in Warner Bros. Games’ general PC troubleshooting guidance: update drivers and Windows, reset overclocks, verify Steam files if you use Steam, lower graphics settings, and check for antivirus or background-app conflicts. These are diagnostic steps, not guaranteed fixes for this game.
First, narrow down when the crash happens
Before changing settings, write down the crash point and what you see. That helps distinguish a launch failure from a sign-in problem, a crash during play, or an online connection issue.

- Before the menu or during startup: Record whether the game closes immediately, hangs, or displays an error.
- At WB Services sign-in: Note whether the failure occurs before you reach the menu. Warner Bros. listed infinite loading or crashing at this screen as an issue under investigation on February 16, 2024; that dated notice does not establish that the issue remains active.
- During loading or gameplay: Record the mission or activity, graphics settings, and whether the crash happens repeatedly at the same point.
- During co-op but not offline: Note that distinction. The official FAQ says campaign and seasonal story content can be played offline, while online co-op requires an internet connection.
Also record your storefront (Steam or Epic Games Store), Windows version, CPU, graphics card, memory, storage type, exact error text, and any recent driver, game, or settings changes. The official sources do not provide a current crash decision tree for every symptom, so these details matter before choosing a more targeted remedy.
Compare your PC with the published targets
Warner Bros. Games lists the following performance tiers for the PC version. They are publisher targets, not independent benchmark results or proof that hardware below a tier is causing a particular crash.

Warner Bros. Games Support’s requirements page labels an SSD as required, while the game’s PC specifications page calls it recommended. The wording differs; neither statement by itself diagnoses a crash. If your PC falls below a target, treat that as a reason to test lower settings and assess performance—not as proof that an upgrade will fix the problem.
Try general PC troubleshooting checks, one at a time
Warner Bros. Games Support’s PC troubleshooting advice is general guidance, not a Suicide Squad-specific fix sequence. It says that a crashing game client is “typically due to a few common causes.” Change one thing at a time and note whether the crash point or error changes.

- Update graphics and audio drivers. Check the device manufacturer or graphics-card maker for current drivers. WB identifies outdated, incorrect, or corrupted video and audio drivers as possible causes of PC game crashes.
- Check Windows updates. WB’s guidance says DirectX is updated through Windows Update. Use Windows Update to check for and install available updates, then restart the PC.
- Return overclocked components to stock settings. If you have overclocked or turbo-boosted components, restore manufacturer settings as a stability test.
- Verify game files if you play on Steam. In Steam, open Library, right-click Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, choose Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files. This is WB’s Steam-specific path; it is not an Epic Games Store procedure.
- Reduce graphics settings. Try a lower graphics profile to reduce hardware load, even if your PC meets a listed minimum target. Record your original settings so you can restore them if the test makes no difference.
- Check for application conflicts. Close unnecessary applications and check your antivirus quarantine or exception list in case a game file was flagged. Do not disable security protection wholesale.
- Reinstall only after simpler checks. WB lists uninstalling and reinstalling as an option after file verification. It takes time, so it is a later test—not the first move when the crash symptom is still unknown.
What historical crash reports can—and cannot—tell you
Past official notices show that the game received crash-related fixes, but they do not confirm that an old issue is still present or that a historical patch addresses a current, unspecified crash.

- February 21, 2024: Rocksteady said its patch focused on issues seen since launch and included client crash fixes, including fixes for particular activities and “Various additional client crash fixes.”
- April 11, 2024: Patch notes listed “Various crash fixes” and performance improvements in certain missions.
These are dated release notes, not a diagnosis for your PC. Rocksteady’s official news and patch notes document those historical updates. WB later said Episode 8, scheduled for January 14, 2025, would be the final seasonal episode, and that online features would continue. That FAQ does not establish whether later maintenance fixes were issued or promise a future fix.

When a generic checklist is not enough
If the crash persists, contact WB support with the details you recorded: crash stage, exact error text, storefront, Windows version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage type, whether the failure occurs offline or only in co-op, and which checks changed the behavior. Ask whether there is a current fix for that exact symptom and storefront. Avoid buying hardware or repair software unless a diagnosis shows a specific need.
