On PlayStation or Xbox, open Options > Settings > Account & Network in Black Ops 6 and set the crossplay option for the mode you play to OFF. For Ranked Play, you can instead choose ON (CONSOLES ONLY) to exclude PC while allowing other console platforms. The available controls depend on your platform and PC store version.
Turn off crossplay on PlayStation or Xbox
- Launch Black Ops 6 and open Options.
- Go to Settings > Account & Network.
- Find the setting for the mode you want to change: Multiplayer Unranked Crossplay or Ranked Crossplay.
- Select OFF to limit matchmaking for that mode to your current gaming platform.
These steps apply to Black Ops 6 Multiplayer. Activision’s [crossplay support page] also discusses Warzone Ranked controls, but those are separate from Black Ops 6 Multiplayer.

Choose the matchmaking pool you want
On console, the available choices differ slightly in effect. Activision lists these options for Multiplayer Unranked and Ranked Play:

Activision warns that restricting crossplay may negatively affect matchmaking quality. Its Season 02 patch notes also caution that changing crossplay may affect queue times; they do not give a specific wait-time estimate. What to do on PC
Steam or Battle.net
Activision says crossplay cannot be disabled on the Steam or Battle.net versions of Black Ops 6.
Microsoft Store or Xbox PC app
There is no in-game crossplay control for this version. Instead, use the Xbox PC app’s global privacy setting:

- In the Xbox PC app, select your Gamertag, then Settings > Account > Privacy settings > Manage.
- Open the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety tab.
- Set You can join cross-network play to Block, then select Submit.
This is an Xbox PC app privacy setting, not a Black Ops 6-only switch.
Xbox console settings can take priority
On Xbox console, you can adjust crossplay in the game or through console settings. Activision says console privacy settings take priority over the in-game setting, so a console-level restriction may determine whether the in-game choice takes effect.

Mixed-platform parties can change the setting temporarily
If you set Cross-Play Off and then join or create a mixed-platform party, the setting can change for that party. A party with a player on another console platform switches temporarily to Cross-Play On (Consoles Only); a party that includes a PC player switches to Cross-Play On. Activision says your preferred setting returns when the party disbands. Its [Season 02 patch notes] describe this party behavior.
What the setting changes
These controls govern matchmaking. Activision describes crossplay as enabling play across platforms and cross-progression for platforms linked to the same Activision account. Its support information does not say that turning crossplay off deletes or resets progression, so the documented effect to expect is a change to the matchmaking pool.
