To turn off Roblox’s MicroProfiler, open the in-experience menu, select Settings, and switch MicroProfiler off. If it is covering your screen right now, press Esc or click the large close button on the overlay.
Close the MicroProfiler overlay on screen
Roblox’s September 26, 2025 announcement says you can press Esc or click the large close button to dismiss the overlay. Roblox’s announcement describes the close control.
Turn it off in Roblox settings
- Open the Roblox in-experience menu.
- Select Settings.
- Find MicroProfiler and switch it off.
MicroProfiler is a built-in Roblox client and Studio performance tool, so you can manage it through Roblox’s interface. Roblox’s MicroProfiler walkthrough documents the tool and its desktop controls.
If the MicroProfiler comes back
Check the in-game MicroProfiler setting rather than relying only on the profiler’s own Mode > Off control. Roblox staff reported on October 13, 2025 that a fix had been released for a bug in which that control did not also update the Escape-menu setting. If the overlay persists, update and restart the Roblox client, then check the in-game setting again. Roblox staff’s follow-up describes the fix.

Keyboard shortcuts
Roblox’s current walkthrough lists Ctrl+Alt+F6 on Windows and Command+Option+F6 on macOS for opening MicroProfiler in the desktop client or Studio. The documented shortcuts are for opening the profiler, not a guaranteed way to keep it disabled. Use the settings toggle to turn it off.
