There is no verified menu path for muting music or dialogue in GTA 6 yet. As of October 9, 2026, Rockstar’s published GTA VI game and support pages do not explain how to change those audio settings. Can you turn off music or dialogue in GTA 6?
Rockstar has not published confirmed instructions for muting either category. Its GTA VI game page and support page, as checked on October 9, 2026, do not provide a verified audio-settings path. That is a statement about the published pages checked at that time, not proof that the game will lack separate controls.

If audio controls are available, check whether the game lets you adjust these categories independently:

Also check whether the settings are accessible during play or only from a main menu, and whether the options vary by platform or game version. These are questions to verify in the released game, not confirmed GTA 6 features.
Why GTA 5 instructions do not answer this
Rockstar’s GTA V support instructions say that settings are reached from the pause menu and include an audio category. Those directions describe GTA V only; they do not confirm GTA 6’s interface or identify controls for muting music or dialogue.

Platform audio features are not in-game mute controls
PlayStation describes Tempest 3D AudioTech and DualSense sound effects as part of the PS5 experience, but those platform features do not establish that GTA 6 has independent controls for music and dialogue. Likewise, Rockstar’s GTA VI page describes an album featuring 34 original tracks; that detail does not say whether radio, mission score, or dialogue can be muted separately.
