This restores the Sim to a playable state. These steps are for a stuck Sim—not for a frozen game or computer.
Reset one Sim with a command

Load the affected save and open the cheat console:
- PC and Mac: Press Ctrl+Shift+C.
- PlayStation: Press L1, L2, R1, and R2 together.
- Xbox: Press LB, LT, RB, and RT together.

Type
resetSim Firstname Lastname, replacing the placeholders with the Sim’s name, then press Enter. For example, EA’s command isresetSim Bella Goth.

Reset a Sim with the context menu on PC or Mac

Open the cheat console with Ctrl+Shift+C.

Enter
testingcheats trueand press Enter. -
Hold Shift and click the stuck Sim, then select Reset Object (Debug).

EA describes this Shift-click method for keyboard and mouse; the cited instructions do not establish an equivalent console interaction.
Try resetting all Sims only if needed
The command resetSim * attempts to reset all Sims in the current game. EA cautions that it may not reset every Sim and can return a “Sim not found” error. For a single unresponsive Sim, use the named command instead.

What a Sim reset changes
EA says a reset returns the Sim to a playable state, but it does not send the Sim home or change their needs. It cancels wishes and moodlets. Afterward, check the Sim and reissue any actions they still need to complete.

This procedure addresses a stuck or unresponsive Sim. It does not establish a fix for a frozen game application or device; if the game itself is unresponsive, you may not be able to use the Sim-reset steps.
