If you want a pack back, download it from the account or store that owns it. If you only want to stop using it for a while, use The Sims 4’s Pack Selection feature instead: it unloads the pack without removing its files. EA documents individual-pack folder removal for Mac, but its help pages do not provide equivalent Windows steps.
Deactivate a pack without uninstalling it
To temporarily stop a pack from loading, open Marketplace > My Collection > Pack Selection in The Sims 4, then select or deselect packs. EA says Pack Selection is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox. This changes which packs are active; it does not uninstall them. EA’s pack installation guide

Reinstall a pack through the EA app
- Make sure The Sims 4 base game is installed and updated.
- Open the EA app and go to Library > The Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons.
- Under Owned add-ons, find the pack and select its Download icon.
- When the download finishes, confirm it appears under Installed add-ons & in-game content, or check the in-game Marketplace.
EA separates installed content from owned content that has not been downloaded. The Download Manager can also show Install Complete for successful recent downloads, but it only lists recent downloads. EA’s pack installation guide
Remove a pack’s files on Mac
EA’s published individual-DLC removal instructions apply to Mac. They involve deleting the pack’s DLC folder and then repairing the game, so follow the steps carefully rather than treating them as a general uninstall method for every platform.

- In the EA app, turn off automatic updates.
- Find The Sims 4 game folder. With default settings, EA says it is usually in Applications > EA Games.
- Move the folder for the DLC pack you want to remove to the Trash.
- In the EA app, open the game tile’s three-dot menu and choose Repair.
To download the pack again, use the EA app’s Manage add-ons screen and select Download beside the owned pack. EA’s help pages do not establish a Windows-specific procedure for removing one pack’s files, so do not apply the Mac folder instructions to Windows. Packs usually install automatically after download. If one does not, open My games & apps > See all > Full library > Owned games, highlight The Sims 4, choose Manage game & add-ons, select the pack, then choose Install.

PlayStation
Download an owned pack through the game’s add-ons or library route. EA’s PS4 directions use Library > Purchased and the game’s add-ons. For PS5 and PlayStation Store online steps, EA directs players to PlayStation support because the steps vary.
Marketplace content on consoles
For console Marketplace content, open Marketplace > My Collection > Manage Storage, select the owned pack, and confirm. In Manage Storage, an installed pack has a selected checkbox and a green Active label. EA’s pack installation guide

Check whether a pack is installed
- EA app: Look under Installed add-ons & in-game content. Owned packs not installed appear under Owned add-ons.
- In the game: Open Marketplace > My Collection > Manage Storage. Installed packs show a selected checkbox and green Active label.
- Recent downloads: The Download Manager may report Install Complete, but it does not retain a complete history of all downloads.
