On Windows 11, uninstall the EA app through Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps: find EA app, open its More menu, choose Uninstall, and follow the prompts. If it is not listed or Settings cannot remove it, use Control Panel instead.
Uninstall EA app from Windows 11 Settings
- Open Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Find EA app in the list. If needed, use the list’s search field.
- Select the More menu beside EA app, then choose Uninstall.
- Confirm the choice and follow any on-screen prompts until removal finishes.
This is Microsoft’s documented Settings route for removing apps in Windows 11. Microsoft Support explains the available uninstall methods.
If EA app is missing or Settings cannot uninstall it
Use Control Panel
- Open Control Panel.
- Select Programs > Programs and Features.
- Right-click EA app, select Uninstall, and confirm.
EA’s PC-specific uninstall instructions use this Control Panel route. Microsoft also recommends Control Panel for apps that cannot currently be removed from Settings. EA Help: How to uninstall the EA app and your games.
Try the Start menu
As another built-in option, open Start > All apps, find EA app, right-click it, and choose Uninstall. The option may not be available for every app, so use Control Panel if this route does not work.

What happens to your games and downloaded content?
EA says you will not be able to play games or use downloaded extra content until you reinstall the EA app. EA also warns that uninstalling it risks removing files used to determine whether games have the latest patch content.
After you download the EA app again and sign in, it will try to find installed games. EA does not guarantee that every installation will be detected. If a game is missing, EA’s stated recovery step is to uninstall that game from your device and reinstall it through the EA app.

The cited instructions do not specify what happens to every game’s saves, settings, or other local files. Do not assume that uninstalling the EA app removes all game installations, or that every save or local file will be preserved.

If Windows reports an error, Microsoft’s uninstall guidance links to its Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter. Follow Microsoft’s current guidance there rather than deleting EA folders or registry entries manually. EA also recommends restarting the PC if problems continue.
