To unlock the “All That Sunlight Touches” Afterstory in Wuthering Waves, complete Main Quest Chapter III Act III, “The Star That Voyages Far.” Once eligible, check Luuk Herssen’s WavesLine message and head to the Startorch Academy infirmary to begin.
Complete the prerequisite quest
The stated eligibility requirement is completion of Chapter III Act III, “The Star That Voyages Far.” Version 3.1 patch-note text reproduced by PlayDay.One lists this as the condition for the Segue: Afterstory “All That Sunlight Touches.”

If you have not reached Act III yet, the progression chain is Chapter III Act II, “Ode to the Second Sunrise,” followed by Act III, then this Afterstory. The same Version 3.1 patch-note reproduction says Act III became permanently available after the Version 3.1 update and required completion of Act II.
Where to start “All That Sunlight Touches”
- Open the Main Quest list and confirm that “The Star That Voyages Far” is complete.
- Read Luuk Herssen’s WavesLine message.
- Travel to the Startorch Academy infirmary and meet Luuk and Nivora to start the opening scene, as described in Game8’s quest guide.
The Act III completion requirement is stated in the patch-note text; the message and infirmary directions come from the secondary walkthrough.

Why an old release date may appear
The Version 3.1 patch-note text reproduced by PlayDay.One says “All That Sunlight Touches” became permanently available after 2026-02-26 10:00 server time. That was the original phase-two availability gate, not a countdown or a date players still need to wait for. The stated eligibility condition remains completion of Chapter III Act III.
What the Afterstory leads to
“All That Sunlight Touches” is a Chapter III Segue: Afterstory set after “The Star That Voyages Far” and before “Gold Suspended in Shadows.” Its synopsis describes Rover returning from the Frostlands and consulting Luuk at the Startorch Academy infirmary about the Exostrider plan, while a Fractsidus member abducts a Roya student and escapes toward a fallen space station, according to the community quest page.

Finishing the Afterstory also satisfies an eligibility condition for Chapter III Act IV, “Gold Suspended in Shadows,” according to Kuro Games’ Version 3.2 patch notes.
