When the event opens, use the countdown in Play and the event entries in Challenges as the authoritative checklist for your account and region.
What is confirmed about the Dead Space event
EA’s October 12 update places the Convergence Event in the Area 51 setting and ties it to Marker Incursion, a limited-time, 16-player player-versus-environment experience available in Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. The announced objective is to destroy the Marker while fighting hordes of AI-controlled Marked Soldiers. EA also confirms a Pulse Rifle Battle Pickup during the activity. The official description is: “Destroy the Marker and stop the Convergence Event before the madness spreads.” Read the announcement at EA’s Battlefield 6 Game Update 2.1.1.0.

When the challenges become available
The event window starts on October 20 and ends on November 7, 2026. EA’s event guide says a running event appears in the game’s Play menu with a countdown. Because the guide does not publish a universal hour or time zone for this event, use the countdown displayed for your account rather than converting a date yourself. The countdown is also the safest way to see how much time remains before your local event access closes.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe event is a timed progression track, not a permanent set of achievements. EA states that additional event rewards cannot be earned after an event ends. A challenge completed after the countdown reaches zero therefore cannot be assumed to award Dead Space event progress.

What you need before launching the event
- Game access: EA lists Battlefield 6 or Battlefield REDSEC as required for the event content.
- Current updates: Install all available game updates before looking for the event tile. The event content is tied to the updated game client.
- EA Account: EA’s event support page requires an EA Account.
- Internet connection: The same guide requires a persistent internet connection.
- Platform requirements: EA says a platform account or subscription may be required, depending on where you play.
These are access requirements, not a guarantee that every edition, platform or account will display identical timing. If the event tile is absent on October 20, finish the update process, restart the client and check that you are signed into the EA Account that owns or has access to the game.
How to find the live challenge list
- Launch the updated game after the event has opened for your account.
- Open the Play menu.
- Select the Convergence Event tile and read its countdown.
- Open Challenges from the event interface.
- Record each event objective and each weekly challenge exactly as the game displays it, including its progress requirement and bonus path points.
- Return to this screen after matches to verify that progress has registered before starting another activity.
EA’s public announcement confirms the event format and reward categories, but it does not provide the individual Dead Space challenge list. Do not rely on a pre-launch checklist that assigns a specific number of kills, match wins, weapon uses or class requirements unless that wording appears in the live Challenges menu or a later official EA announcement.
How event progression works
EA’s standard event system awards bonus path points for event objectives and weekly challenges completed during the event window. Under that general system, 10 bonus path points unlock one new event-tier reward. The Dead Space event may display special rules or separate paths, so confirm the point value and tier indicator in its own interface.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →If the live screen uses the standard rule, you can estimate the points needed for a target tier with this calculation:
required bonus path points = target tier × 10
For example, reaching tier 3 would require 30 points under the standard ten-points-per-tier rule. This is a planning calculation, not a published Dead Space reward threshold; the actual interface remains definitive if EA adds bonus sources, different thresholds or a separate track.
Objectives and weekly challenges are different
Event objectives
Event objectives are the tasks attached to the running Convergence Event. They may be available throughout the event window, but their exact wording and point values have not been published. Read the condition literally: a requirement that names a particular mode, pickup, enemy, match result or action should be completed in that context rather than assumed to count everywhere.
Weekly challenges
Weekly challenges are additional tasks shown in the event’s Challenges area. EA’s general event model uses them as another source of bonus path points. The Dead Space announcement does not state how many weekly sets there will be, when they rotate, whether unfinished tasks carry forward, or whether a late-week completion has a special rule. Check the weekly panel each time it refreshes and note its displayed expiry.
How to keep a reliable checklist
- Write down the exact task text, not a shortened interpretation.
- Note the displayed point value beside each task.
- Mark whether the task is an event objective or a weekly challenge.
- Capture the current progress number before and after a match.
- Do not count a reward as secured until it appears in the event track or reward section.
Read each requirement literally
The safest way to avoid wasted matches is to separate what the game says from what seems likely. A task displayed under the event may include a named activity, an action, a progress count, a result condition or a deadline. Those details define what the tracker is measuring. A similar action in another mode is not automatically equivalent, and the presence of a Pulse Rifle in Marker Incursion does not prove that every objective uses it.
| Detail on the tracker | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Named mode or activity | Launch that activity rather than assuming a regular match will count. |
| Named item or pickup | Verify that the item is available and that the counter changes after using it. |
| Action or enemy wording | Check the progress counter after the action and before leaving the results screen. |
| Weekly label or expiry | Prioritize it before the displayed reset or expiry. |
| Point value | Add the value to your event total only after the tracker records completion. |
This method does not assume challenge names that EA has not released. It simply gives you a repeatable way to interpret the live text when it appears.
Playing Marker Incursion without guessing at requirements
Marker Incursion is confirmed as a 16-player PvE experience, so the match is built around cooperation against AI-controlled Marked Soldiers rather than a conventional player-versus-player round. The announced mission goal is to destroy the Marker, and the Pulse Rifle is identified as a Battle Pickup. Those facts describe the activity; they do not establish that a particular event challenge requires the Pulse Rifle, a certain class, a specific route through Area 51 or a set number of enemy eliminations.
Before queueing, read the live challenge text and select the activity that matches it. If a task names Marker Incursion, begin it from the event’s own play option where available and check the tracker immediately after the match. If no task names the mode, do not assume that ordinary Battlefield 6 or REDSEC matches will advance an objective that is visibly restricted to Marker Incursion.

Because the event is cooperative, agree on the current objective with your squad before the match starts. Keep the Marker-destruction goal in view, but treat any additional action as challenge-specific only when the on-screen requirement says so. This avoids spending a limited event session on an action that awards no points.
Rewards announced for the event
EA has announced the reward categories below. It has not published which challenge or tier grants each item, nor has it published the point threshold for any named reward.
| Reward category | Announced quantity or name |
|---|---|
| Soldier skin | Aegis VII Soldier skin |
| Weapon package | RIG-Certified SMG Weapon Package |
| Weapon Stickers | Two Weapon Stickers |
| Soldier Patches | Soldier Patches |
| Player Card | Player Card Background |
| In-game Bundles | Two in-game Bundles |
Do not infer an order from the list above. The announcement presents reward categories, not a tier map. The live event track is where you should verify whether a reward is on a standard path, a premium path or another progression route.
Free and premium progression: what is and is not known
EA’s general event documentation describes events as commonly having free and premium elements. The Dead Space announcement does not confirm whether this event uses both paths, what purchase gate might apply, or which of the announced rewards belongs to which path. Wait for the event interface or a later official EA notice before treating any reward as premium-only or assuming that buying a pass is necessary to complete the challenges.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Completing a listed challenge and unlocking a tier are separate checks: the challenge must register first, and the event track must then show enough bonus path points for the tier. A purchase decision cannot substitute for an unmet objective unless the live rules explicitly say so.
Planning your points and sessions
Once the event is live, make a short plan from the numbers actually displayed. Add the point values for completed objectives, compare that total with the next tier marker, and identify weekly tasks that expire sooner than the event itself. If the interface follows the standard ten-points-per-tier rule, the tier calculation is straightforward; if it shows a different threshold, use that value instead and discard the estimate.
Do not assume every visible task is required for every reward. The game may show more objectives than you need for a particular tier, or it may place rewards on separate paths. The only dependable way to know is to compare the live point total with the reward track. Recheck after each completed match because a delayed update can make a completed task look unfinished temporarily.
A practical schedule for the October 20–November 7 window
Opening day
After the event appears, spend a few minutes reading every visible objective, the first weekly set and the reward track. Note the countdown and take a screenshot or written copy of requirements that might rotate. Complete one low-risk task, then return to Challenges to confirm that progress is being recorded.
During the first week
Prioritize tasks with a visible expiry or weekly label so they do not disappear while you work on longer objectives. Recheck the tracker after each session. If a challenge is tied to Marker Incursion, queue for that activity rather than assuming another mode will count.
After a weekly refresh
Read the newly displayed requirements from the beginning. The available sources do not establish whether unfinished weekly tasks carry over, so treat the interface’s current status as controlling. Recalculate your remaining points using the values shown in game.
Final days
Use the event countdown, not the calendar date alone, to set your cutoff. Leave time for a restart if a reward takes a few minutes to appear, and avoid beginning a long session immediately before the displayed expiry.

What to do if progress or a reward is missing
- Finish the match or action that should satisfy the requirement and wait for the post-match results to load.
- Open Challenges again and verify the exact task, mode and progress counter.
- Restart the game client. EA’s event guide says rewards may take a few minutes or a relaunch to appear.
- Check that you are using the correct EA Account and the correct reward section.
- Confirm that the event countdown has not expired and that the challenge was completed inside the event window.
If the counter still does not move, compare the wording in the tracker with what you actually did. A requirement restricted to a named activity, weapon or action will not necessarily accept a similar result elsewhere. The published guidance does not provide a Dead Space-specific error code or manual grant procedure, so preserve screenshots of the requirement, match result and account before contacting EA support.

Quick launch checklist
- Install every Battlefield 6 or REDSEC update.
- Sign in to the EA Account that has game access.
- Confirm persistent internet access and any platform account or subscription requirement.
- Open Play and locate the event tile after October 20.
- Record the account-specific countdown.
- Read objectives and weekly challenges under Challenges.
- Track the displayed point values and verify progress after matches.
- Finish all desired tasks before the countdown ends on November 7.
- Restart the game and check the reward section if an earned item does not appear immediately.
Bottom line for players preparing now
You cannot complete the Battlefield 6 Dead Space event challenges before the event opens, and there is no reliable challenge-by-challenge route to publish yet. Prepare access and updates now; from October 20, follow the event tile’s countdown and the live Challenges menu. Marker Incursion, its 16-player PvE format, the Area 51 setting, Pulse Rifle pickup and Marker objective are confirmed, while the exact tasks, point values, weekly schedule and reward mapping must be taken from the in-game event once it is running. Under EA’s standard rules, 10 bonus path points unlock one tier, and no additional event rewards can be earned after the event ends.
