There is no single unlock method for every Dead Island 2 skin. The free ‘Til Dawn skins become available during “Call the Cavalry”: speak with Emma Jaunt, reach the Cosplay Unlock Point, then open the Storage Locker and choose the Cosplay tab. Other outfits come from Deep Silver Account challenges or character packs, some of which may already be included with your edition or Expansion Pass.
How to unlock the free ‘Til Dawn skins
- Progress through the story until the “Call the Cavalry” mission and speak with Emma Jaunt.
- Reach the Cosplay Unlock Point, then go downstairs and open the Storage Locker.
- Open the Cosplay tab to access the free skin. These are the steps specified by PLAION Player Support.
How to get Deep Silver Account challenge skins
Link Dead Island 2 to a Deep Silver Account and follow the game on the account page to access account-linked rewards. The live Dead Island 2 account page lists FROM DUSK skin challenges for the six Slayers:

- Ryan: kill 10 Crusher zombies.
- Jacob: kill 1,000 zombies.
- Dani: kill 10 Mutator zombies.
- Carla: kill 10 Screamer zombies.
- Amy: kill 10 Butcher zombies.
- Bruno: kill 10 Burster zombies.
Check the account page for current challenge and claim status, since its rewards are dynamic. If an objective is complete but the skin is not visible, check the game’s locker or reward interface. Deep Silver’s reward information also names the Recycle of Violence weapon as an account-link reward; it is a weapon, not a skin, so completing an account reward does not mean every reward is an outfit.
How to get character-pack skins
PLAION lists six HELL-A Catwalk premium character packs. Each includes a skin for the named Slayer and a weapon usable by any of the six Slayers. The packs are available in the in-game stores on Steam, Epic Games, Xbox, and PlayStation, according to PLAION Player Support.

Check edition and Expansion Pass entitlements first
Some other character packs are included at no additional cost for eligible owners: Silver Star Jacob and Cyber Slayer Amy for Gold, Deluxe, or HELL-A Edition owners; Gaelic Queen Dani for Expansion Pass owners. Eligibility depends on the edition and platform entitlement, so check the edition you own and its installed add-ons before purchasing a pack again.
For PlayStation, PLAION’s support instructions say to search the store for “Dead Island 2 Character Pack,” open the eligible pack page, and claim it. If the price selector offers a paid option, choose the other add-on option that changes to free. Store screens and entitlement behavior can vary by platform.

Does New Game Plus unlock skins?
New Game Plus unlocks after completing the story, and a pop-up announces its availability. To start it, use Main Menu → Slayers and export the character to New Game Plus, as described in the official Patch 6 FAQ. The FAQ describes unique rewards for the mode but does not identify a particular skin in those instructions. New Game Plus is not required for the ‘Til Dawn skins.

Other DLC may include weapons or packs collected from traders after reaching a relevant hub, but those items are not skin unlocks unless an outfit is specifically identified. PLAION’s DLC Guide distinguishes these content routes from character packs.
