To play Seekers of the Storm, you need access to the expansion and then must find the Path of the Colossus during a run. Gearbox identifies that path as the way to reach much of the DLC’s content, but its official announcement does not provide a complete route walkthrough or a guaranteed starting-stage sequence. The Halcyon Shrine is a useful clue, not a sure Stage 1 spawn.
Make sure the expansion is available to your game
On Steam, you need Risk of Rain 2 and the Seekers of the Storm DLC. Steam says one person owning the DLC is enough to enable the expansion for a multiplayer lobby. Players without ownership can join, but cannot select the DLC’s new Survivors or permanently unlock its new content. These access details are verified for Steam; the sources cited here do not establish equivalent rules for console storefronts.

Start a run and look for the Path of the Colossus
Begin a run, then seek the expansion route called the Path of the Colossus. Gearbox says much of the expansion’s content is found by traversing this path. Its August 27, 2024 release announcement teases that players must discover how to start it, but does not give a full step-by-step walkthrough. Because the official material does not specify a reliable menu setting, shrine sequence, or guaranteed stage, avoid treating any one route description as universally confirmed.

Use the Halcyon Shrine as a clue, not a guarantee
The Halcyon Shrine is one of the DLC’s new interactables and is relevant to finding the expansion route. However, its appearance on Stage 1 is not guaranteed. In patch notes dated October 8, 2026, 2K said the shrine had been made less likely to appear there and estimated that it would appear on Stage 1 in about 50% of runs after the adjustment. The developers said frequent early spawns made runs feel front-loaded and created an unhealthy expectation that the shrine would be present on Stage 1.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
If it does not appear on Stage 1, that alone does not establish that the DLC is unavailable or that you have missed your chance. The patch notes describe a probability, not a guaranteed appearance schedule for later stages.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Starting the route is different from unlocking every DLC item
Finding the Path of the Colossus is about reaching expansion content during a run; it is not the same as permanently unlocking every addition. Gearbox lists new stages, the False Son boss, Seeker, Chef, and a secret Survivor among the expansion’s additions. Steam’s ownership details distinguish lobby access from the ability to select DLC Survivors or permanently unlock DLC content.
