Blood Manipulation requirements
| Requirement | Amount |
|---|---|
| Yen | 535,750 |
| Level 2 Cores | 50 |
| Level 1 Cores | 35 |
| Death Painting Raid items | 70 |
| Special Cores | None |
| Robux alternative | 1,999 Robux |
The Death Painting materials are reported to come from the Death Painting Raid. The raid requires character Level 70 before you can initiate it. One guide places the raid near Isami Village, outside the school area, but that location is not confirmed by the official game listing.
You need the full resource requirement to complete the purchase. Having only part of the Yen, cores, or raid items will not unlock the technique.
Every Blood Manipulation skill
| Key | Skill | Mastery | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Z | Slicing Storm | 0 | Fires a blood projectile in a straight line over long range. |
| X | Piercing Blood | 10 | Fires blood needles or projectiles straight ahead across a wider effective area. Holding the move for about three additional seconds creates a stronger version. |
| C | Blood Daggers | 25 | Performs several circular blood-dagger slashes at close range. |
| V | Blood Meteors | 45 | Summons several aimable blood meteors. It has a blind spot directly in front of you at close range. |
| R | Ground Surge | 75 | Creates multiple blood projectiles that attack at close-to-medium range. Hitting one humanoid target with all projectiles can trigger a cinematic finisher and final blood slam. |
Slicing Storm — Z
Slicing Storm is available immediately at Mastery 0. It launches a blood projectile in a straight line, making it the basic long-range option in the kit.

Piercing Blood — X
Piercing Blood unlocks at Mastery 10. Its blood needles cover a wider effective area than Slicing Storm. According to the Kaizen Wiki, holding the move for approximately three extra seconds produces a stronger attack, so use the charge time when you have enough distance from the target.
Blood Daggers — C
Blood Daggers unlocks at Mastery 25 and is designed for close-range combat. It performs multiple circular slashes, making it more appropriate when an enemy is already within melee distance than the straight-line projectile skills.
Blood Meteors — V
Blood Meteors unlocks at Mastery 45 and lets you aim several falling blood attacks. Do not use it directly against a target standing inside melee range: the move has a blind spot immediately in front of the caster, so back away or create space first.

Ground Surge — R
Ground Surge is the final listed skill and unlocks at Mastery 75. It sends several blood projectiles toward a nearby or medium-range target. If every required projectile hits the same humanoid enemy, the move can transition into a cinematic finisher followed by a final blood slam.
The finisher is conditional. The initial attack or one of the required projectiles missing prevents it from triggering. The Kaizen Wiki also states that you must click a key during or immediately after the move for the cinematic sequence to occur. It is therefore less reliable against targets that move unpredictably or enemies that are not humanoid.
How Blood Manipulation Mastery works
Buying Blood Manipulation does not automatically unlock its entire moveset. Equip the technique and use it in combat to gain Mastery. The thresholds are 0 for Slicing Storm, 10 for Piercing Blood, 25 for Blood Daggers, 45 for Blood Meteors, and 75 for Ground Surge.

For progression, use Slicing Storm while you build toward Mastery 10, then add Piercing Blood and the close-range Blood Daggers as they become available. Save Ground Surge for situations where you can keep a humanoid target in place long enough for all of its projectiles to connect.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Kamo clan Blood Transformation
Blood Manipulation has an additional interaction with the Kamo clan. Using Blood Manipulation skills partially fills a Blood Gauge. Filling the gauge with Kamo activates Blood Transformation, which is reported to provide:
- Increased movement speed
- Increased Dash distance
- 30% more damage from Blood Manipulation skills
Blood Manipulation itself does not provide a built-in dash or mobility boost. The Kamo interaction improves movement after the gauge is filled, but it does not change the technique’s core limitation: you must create your own positioning and avoid relying on the moveset for mobility.

Common mistakes and outdated information
Trying to start the raid before Level 70
The Death Painting Raid cannot be initiated below character Level 70. Level up first; otherwise you cannot farm the raid materials needed for the purchase.
Using an old material list
Some older pages list 435,750 Yen, 38 Grade 2 Cores, 20 Grade 1 Cores, 20 Cursed Blood, and 10 Death Painting DNA. That list conflicts with two February 2026 guides that agree on the current reported requirements: 535,750 Yen, 50 Level 2 Cores, 35 Level 1 Cores, and 70 Death Painting Raid items. Treat the older list as outdated or associated with an earlier version.
Looking for “Ground Sword”
The skill is currently listed as Ground Surge by the detailed February 2026 guides and the Kaizen Wiki. “Ground Sword” appears to be an alternate or outdated name.

Blood Meteors has a close-range blind spot directly in front of the player. Use Blood Daggers at melee range or create distance before casting Meteors.
Expecting every Ground Surge cast to trigger the finisher
The cinematic requires all projectiles to hit one humanoid target, and the follow-up input must be made during or immediately after the move. A miss, an unsuitable enemy, or a missed input prevents the cinematic.
