Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDownload iCUE from CORSAIR’s official Downloads page, install it, restart Windows 11, and connect supported CORSAIR devices directly to your PC. The current published release is iCUE 5.48.58, released July 13, 2026. Windows 11 64-bit is supported, and CORSAIR lists approximately 1.5 GB of required disk space.
Download and install iCUE
- On your Windows 11 PC, open the CORSAIR Downloads page.
- Under iCUE SOFTWARE, select DOWNLOAD FOR WINDOWS.
- Save and run the installer. CORSAIR provides this desktop installer rather than directing users to a Microsoft Store installation.
- Select a language, click OK, and follow the prompts.
- Click Finish, then restart Windows.
Download only from CORSAIR’s site or use iCUE’s built-in updater. Do not mistake legacy releases such as iCUE 4.33.138 or iCUE 3.38.88 for the current version; CORSAIR lists those separately, with iCUE 3.38.88 intended for legacy devices.

If installation fails, temporarily disconnect from VPN or tunneling software, install pending Windows updates, and right-click the installer to choose Run as administrator. CORSAIR’s clean-reinstallation guide covers more serious installation problems.
Check the installed iCUE version
- Open iCUE.
- Click the cog wheel in the upper-right corner.
- Open Software Updates.
Your iCUE version appears at the top of that section. Some older documentation calls this area Firmware Updates, but Software Updates is the current label.
#1 Best Overall
- Connect up to six case fans
- PWM fan and RGB connection for seamless syncing cooling and lighting effects
- Visible power and operation indicators for easy status checking
- Simple magnetic mounting for easy attachment to the metal surface of the case
- Dual SATA power connectors for stable input under full load
Connect CORSAIR devices correctly
For initial setup, detection problems, and firmware updates, connect the device directly to the PC. Avoid USB hubs, switches, docks, and monitor pass-through ports. A keyboard, mouse, headset, controller, cooler, or lighting controller may not appear if its USB cable, internal USB connection, wireless receiver, or required lighting cable is incorrectly connected.
For wireless devices, connect both the wireless dongle and the device directly to the PC during a firmware update. Exact controls depend on the product model and firmware; iCUE supports compatible CORSAIR peripherals and PC components, not every CORSAIR product.
Update device firmware
In iCUE 5.14 and newer:
- Connect the device directly to the PC.
- Select the device’s settings wheel.
- Click Check for Updates.
- Follow the prompts if an update is available.
Do not disconnect the device during the update. If iCUE says Up-to-Date but CORSAIR support has told you to reinstall the firmware, open the menu beside Check for Updates and choose Force Update or Browse for Firmware. See CORSAIR’s firmware instructions.
If an update fails, close other RGB and monitoring tools such as Armoury Crate, Mystic Light, RGB Fusion, NZXT CAM, Logitech G Hub, HWiNFO, and Wallpaper Engine. CORSAIR also recommends trying another USB port or PC, installing current Windows and chipset updates, and temporarily disabling antivirus, firewall, or VPN software.

- Optionally select + beside Linked App to activate the profile when an application opens.

Before uninstalling iCUE or deleting its settings, export important profiles. A clean reset can remove locally stored profiles and macros.

For fans or components connected to a lighting controller, make the controller’s Lighting Setup match the actual product type and number of devices on each channel. An incorrect configuration can cause missing LEDs, wrong colors, or incorrectly addressed effects.
Use Device Memory Mode
Device Memory Mode stores supported lighting or assignments on the device so they can work without iCUE running in the background. The number of memory slots and supported settings vary by product.
- Select the device.
- Click Device Memory Mode.
- Choose an effect under Lighting Type.
- Customize it.
- Select the memory slot being edited to save the changes.
Depending on the model, older instructions may call this Hardware Lighting, Hardware Lighting Channel, or Onboard Profiles. Current CORSAIR documentation does not generally require you to close iCUE before configuring and saving the hardware state.
Set fan and pump cooling
For a supported cooler or controller, select it and open Cooling. Under Cooling Presets, click + and choose Fixed %, Fixed RPM, or Custom Curve. Configure the preset, then use the dropdown beside each fan or pump to apply it.

RGB changes unexpectedly
Other RGB utilities can override iCUE. CORSAIR identifies EVGA Precision XOC, MSI Mystic Light or Control Center, ASUS Aura or Armoury Crate, Opera GX, Gigabyte RGB Fusion or Control Center, ASRock Polychrome RGB, Logitech G Hub, and NZXT CAM as possible conflicts. Remove conflicting RGB control where practical, repair iCUE, and if necessary temporarily disable iCUE SDK and Game SDK integrations in iCUE Settings.
Audio equalization fails on some Windows 11 PCs
On systems using an Intel 11th-generation Core processor, Intel Smart Sound Technology driver versions 10.29.0.5152 and 10.30.0.5152 can conflict with iCUE audio equalization. In Device Manager > System Devices, check Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) Audio Controller. CORSAIR recommends getting an updated driver from the PC manufacturer; its listed compatible workarounds are 10.30.00.5714 or later and 10.29.00.5714 or later.
Clean-reinstall iCUE
Export profiles first. The simplest option is CORSAIR’s iCUE Removal Tool.
For a manual reset, uninstall Corsair iCUE Software from Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program, select Delete Settings for All Users, then remove only CORSAIR-related folders from:
%appdata%%localappdata%%programdata%C:Program Filesfor iCUE 4 or 5
Restart Windows and download a fresh installer from CORSAIR. Do not delete unrelated folders in those locations. CORSAIR lists C:Program Files (x86) for iCUE 3 installations.
