Step-by-step: unlock Episode 11
- Launch CookieRun: Kingdom. Complete any pending client update before looking for the chapter.
- Open Timeline of Fate. From that chapter screen, locate Mortal Flames, Eternal Change.
- Select Episode 11, “Flames that Devour the Ages.” The September 23 official update notice states: “You can play Mortal Flames, Eternal Change Ep.11, Flames that Devour the Ages, without clearing previous episodes.” That exception means you do not need to work through earlier Timeline of Fate episodes first.
- Accept any content download. If the game offers episode data or voice data, start the download and wait for it to reach completion. The notice says the content becomes available after the download finishes.
- Enter the episode. Once the download is complete, return to the episode entry and select the stage you want to play.
If Episode 11 still does not appear, verify that the game client is on the September 23 or later content version, then reopen Timeline of Fate. A missing entry before the client has finished updating is different from a progression lock.
How Episode 12 fits into the unlock path
Episode 12, A Sun That Shines Eternal, was added in the October 7, 2026 update to the same Mortal Flames, Eternal Change chapter. Open Timeline of Fate, enter that chapter, and look for the Episode 12 entry.

The October 7 notice confirms the episode’s addition but does not state a precise progression gate. It does not say that Episode 11 must be cleared, nor does it identify an account level, quest, or other prerequisite. Therefore, the reliable procedure is to check the chapter entry in your own client rather than assuming that Episode 12 is automatically open for every account.

If Episode 12 is visible
- Select A Sun That Shines Eternal in the chapter list.
- Allow any requested episode-data or voice-data download to finish.
- Return to the episode after the download and begin the available stage.
If Episode 12 is locked or absent
- Confirm that the October 7 update has fully installed rather than only downloading part of the client patch.
- Reopen Timeline of Fate and select Mortal Flames, Eternal Change again; the chapter list can refresh after an update or asset download.
- Read the exact in-game message. It may identify a requirement that the brief update notice does not document.
- Do not treat Episode 11’s no-previous-clear exception as proof that Episode 12 has the same rule. The official October notice leaves Episode 12’s gate unspecified.
- If the entry remains unavailable after the client is current and all requested files are installed, use the requirement shown by the game as the authoritative next step. There is no published prerequisite in the October notice that can be substituted for that message.
Why the game may ask for a download
Timeline of Fate episodes can require additional local files beyond the initial game installation. The September notice specifically warns that episode assets and voice data may download when you enter the chapter or proceed into an episode.

What to do when the prompt appears
- Connect to Wi‑Fi if you want to avoid mobile-data charges.
- Check available device storage before starting. If the device is nearly full, remove or move files first so the episode package can finish writing.
- Start the download and leave the game open until it reports completion.
- Wait for the download to finish before trying to enter another area. The notice says other areas cannot be accessed while this download is in progress.
- After completion, return to Timeline of Fate and open the episode again if the game does not transition automatically.

The episode effects provide a useful confirmation that you entered the intended Mortal Flames content. They are not stated as unlock requirements, but they identify the stages once you are inside.
Episode 11: “Flames that Devour the Ages”
In Episode 11, both the Flame of Annihilation land rule and the Seed of Change tactical skill begin at the stage named “Faint Scent of Jasmine.” If those effects first appear there, you have reached the Episode 11 content rather than an earlier Timeline of Fate episode.

Episode 12: “A Sun That Shines Eternal”
In Episode 12, Flame of Annihilation and Seed of Change begin at “Silent Outcry.” Flame of Mortality begins at “The Pulse of Change.” The October notice describes Seed of Change as cleansing the Flame of Annihilation and Flame of Mortality debuffs from allies and restoring HP.
These named starting points help distinguish the two episodes after they have loaded. They do not establish a separate way to bypass a lock, and the October notice does not give a numerical account requirement or a mandatory clear count for Episode 12.
