You don’t unlock every Black Ops II Zombies map by finishing the campaign. TranZit and its related Green Run locations are part of the game’s Zombies selection; the other headline maps are tied to specific bonus content or DLC packs. Open Zombies, identify the map you want, then make sure the corresponding content is installed and available to your account.
Which Zombies maps come with the base game?
The official Black Ops II PC manual describes Zombies as a selectable mode and identifies TranZit, Survival, and Grief experiences. These are not campaign rewards.

- TranZit: Select it from the Zombies menu; it is a base-game experience.
- Town, Farm, and Bus Depot: A current secondary guide describes these as Green Run locations that can appear as smaller Survival or Grief selections. Their menu presentation depends on the mode, so they may not appear alongside TranZit in the same selection.
Which DLC or bonus content unlocks each map?
For the named add-on maps, access is tied to the applicable content pack or bonus entitlement—not to campaign progress.
| Map | Content needed | What the source establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Nuketown Zombies | Season Pass bonus entitlement | Activision’s Season Pass materials and the Xbox Nuketown Zombies listing associate access with Season Pass ownership. Availability and edition terms may differ by region or store. |
| Die Rise | Revolution | Activision’s Revolution announcement identifies Die Rise as part of the pack. |
| Mob of the Dead | Uprising | Activision’s Uprising announcement identifies Mob of the Dead as part of the pack. |
| Buried | Vengeance | Activision’s Vengeance announcement identifies Buried as part of the pack. |
| Origins | Apocalypse, according to a secondary guide | The guide associates Origins with Apocalypse, but that pairing was not independently confirmed in an official Black Ops II Apocalypse announcement in the sources reviewed. |
How to access a map you own
- Open Black Ops II and choose Zombies. Check the relevant map or mode selection; a Survival or Grief location may be listed separately from TranZit.
- Confirm that the active platform account has the entitlement for the map’s pack or bonus content. For example, Die Rise requires Revolution, Mob of the Dead requires Uprising, and Buried requires Vengeance.
- Check the platform’s downloads or add-on list to verify the content has finished downloading and is installed. A purchase or queued download alone may not make the map available.
- Restart Black Ops II after installation, then check the Zombies selections again.
What to check if a map is missing
- Confirm the entitlement: Make sure you are signed in to the account that owns the DLC or Season Pass bonus, or that the platform otherwise recognizes that license.
- Check installation status: Look in the platform store, download history, or installed add-ons. Verify the relevant pack completed rather than remaining queued.
- Check disc and DLC region: A secondary guide recommends confirming that a disc copy’s region matches the DLC region. This is a troubleshooting check, not a universal guarantee.
- Recheck the menu by mode: Smaller Green Run Survival or Grief selections may not be shown in the same place as TranZit.
- Use platform support if needed: If the account owns the content and it is installed but still unavailable, consult the platform’s download history or official support for your account and region. Older-content availability can change.
Does finishing the campaign unlock the other Zombies maps?
The available official materials describe maps as part of the base game, bonus content, or named DLC packs. They do not support a claim that campaign completion unlocks paid DLC maps. If you see only TranZit, check the map’s content entitlement and installation rather than looking for a campaign unlock.
