To queue for Duty Roulette: Expert in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, unlock the available expert dungeons and meet the current average item-level requirement of 750. As of Patch 7.5, the roulette includes Mistwake and The Clyteum. The Clyteum unlocks by completing the level 100 main scenario quest “In Fate’s Footsteps.”
Unlock The Clyteum
- Use a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic.
- Progress the Dawntrail main scenario and complete “In Fate’s Footsteps.” Patch 7.5 lists this quest as The Clyteum’s prerequisite: official Patch 7.5 notes.
Once unlocked, The Clyteum can be selected by Expert Roulette when you meet the roulette’s item-level requirement.

What is known about Mistwake’s unlock
Mistwake is in the Patch 7.5 Expert Roulette list, but the official sources cited here do not establish its full quest chain. Check the Duty Finder and your duty unlocks to see whether it is available to your character; a specific quest, NPC, or location cannot be confirmed here.

Your character needs an average item level of at least 750 to register for Duty Roulette: Expert. Patch 7.5 raised the threshold from 735 to 750. This is an average item-level gate, not a dungeon unlock: satisfying it does not unlock duties you have not completed the required quests for. See the Patch 7.5 notes.

Check the Duty Finder category and duty list
Expert Roulette selects an expert dungeon at random from among the ones you have unlocked, according to the official Duty Finder manual. Open Duty Finder and check Duty Roulette: Expert. The roulette’s current duties and entry item levels differ from the separate Level Cap Dungeons category:

The Meso Terminal is listed under Level Cap Dungeons in Patch 7.5, not Expert Roulette. If Expert is absent or a duty you expect is missing, check whether the duty itself is unlocked and whether your average item level meets the gate. The official sources cited here do not establish a separate completion-count threshold for unlocking the Expert category.

The Expert Roulette threshold increased over the Dawntrail patch cycle. Older guides may reflect the requirement in effect when they were written:
