Nomadic Crafting is a skill at the end of the Survival branch in ARC Raiders’ revamped Frozen Trail 2.0 skill tree. Invest enough points in Survival to reveal the branch-end choices, then spend a point on Nomadic Crafting. Current coverage disagrees on the exact Survival threshold, so check the requirement shown in your own skill tree rather than relying on a fixed number.
Unlock Nomadic Crafting in the Survival branch
- Open the Raider Skill Tree and go to the Survival section.
- Spend Survival points until the branch-end skill choices become available. A current Beebom guide describes the requirement as 30 or 40 points, without resolving which applies. Embark’s Frozen Trail 2.0 notes confirm that branch ends have two nodes, each offering a choice among three skills, but do not give Nomadic Crafting’s point threshold.
- When the end-node choices are open, select Nomadic Crafting and allocate one skill point to unlock it.
Embark says players can choose up to two of the three skills after making the required investment. If you do not see Nomadic Crafting, continue investing in Survival and check the tree’s displayed prerequisite.
What Nomadic Crafting lets you make
The skill description quoted by Beebom is: “Allows you to field craft a much wider range of items.” Current guides list these items as craftable in the field:
- Light ammo
- Medium ammo
- Heavy ammo
- Shotgun ammo
- Shrapnel Grenades
- Grappling Hooks
- Ziplines
PC Gamer’s guide also lists those ammo, grenade, grappling hook and zipline categories. Nomadic Crafting does not let you craft Defibrillators during a raid, according to Beebom.

What returning players should know
Beebom reports that the skill tree was automatically reset after Frozen Trail 2.0 launched on October 8, 2026. If you played before the update, you may need to assign your skill points again before choosing Nomadic Crafting. Treat this as an update-specific report, not a permanent reset rule.
The tree is version-sensitive: Embark says it may make further tweaks to the new layout. If a patch changes the branch or prerequisite, use the current in-game tree as the final guide.
