Start the available memory mission from Recluse’s Journal, finish its objectives, and keep following the Journal as more chapters become available. Community walkthroughs place the outfit reward at the end of her Remembrance sequence; the official guide confirms that completing Remembrances is one way to earn Nightfarer outfits.
How to start Recluse’s Remembrance
- Open Recluse’s Journal and select Begin Remembrance from her most recent Journal entry when the option is available. Bandai Namco and Future Press say this sends the current Nightfarer to the Realm of Remembrance. See the official Nightreign starter guide.
- Complete the objective shown in the Realm of Remembrance, then check the Journal for the next available task or chapter.
- Continue through Recluse’s Remembrance progression until its concluding objective is complete. Walkthrough sources identify the final stage as the reward point for her special outfit.
What to expect from the questline
The official starter guide explains how to enter Remembrances and notes that completing them can unlock additional Nightfarer outfits. It does not provide a complete, stage-by-stage list of Recluse’s objectives. Community walkthroughs describe her outfit as the final reward in her Remembrance progression, following earlier chapter missions and a later Nightlord-related stage.

Because the exact sequence is not documented in the official guide, use the active objective in Recluse’s Journal as the authority for what to do next. The available sources do not establish a fixed number of Expeditions, a particular ending, or a purchased item as a requirement for this outfit.
If the outfit has not appeared
- Reopen Recluse’s Journal and check for an unfinished Remembrance mission or objective.
- Complete any currently available task and look for newly unlocked Journal progression.
- Do not treat the July 2, 2025 patch 1.01.4 note as an outfit fix: Bandai Namco said it addressed a bug that could prevent background music from playing during Recluse’s Remembrance under certain conditions. The note does not say the outfit requirement changed. See the patch 1.01.4 notes.
Why the Journal is the best guide
Remembrance missions and story progression can unlock as you advance through the game. The Journal shows the currently available step, which is more useful than relying on a walkthrough whose objectives may not match every game update. The official guide establishes the Remembrance entry point and the general outfit reward mechanism; the Recluse-specific final-reward detail comes from community walkthroughs.
