To unlock Red Sage in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, earn gold trophies in the other seven Grand Prix sets, then win the Secret Grand Prix. Once it is unlocked, select Sage and choose her alternate costume. Insider Gaming’s guide reports that retries using tickets do not disqualify you.
Unlock Red Sage step by step
- Earn gold trophies in the other seven Grand Prix sets. Insider Gaming reports these gold trophies unlock access to the Secret Grand Prix.
- Enter and win the Secret Grand Prix. The guide identifies winning this Grand Prix as the Red Sage unlock condition.
- Equip the costume. On the character selection screen, choose Sage and select the alternate costume option.

If the Secret Grand Prix does not appear
The guide’s author says the Secret Grand Prix appeared after completing all races at Sonic Speed difficulty. That is an account of the author’s experience, not an established requirement for every player. If you have gold trophies at Normal or High Speed but still cannot access it, the guide suggests trying the highest speed available.

What the Red Sage costume changes
Insider Gaming describes Red Sage as a darker version of Sage: a black dress with red data effects instead of the default white dress and blue data. According to the guide, the alternate costume keeps Sage’s attributes and voice lines but has a more erratic glitch effect.
