1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo unlock the fast-travel point near the Greymane camp in Crimson Desert, repair the disabled Abyss Nexus beside your house on Howling Hill. The route requires the House Roberts quest chain through Stolen Quarry, the Kuku Pot, Focused Force Palm, and a transporter disc found beneath Karin Quarry. It is not activated by interacting with a campfire or camp marker.
What you need before you can repair the nexus
The Howling Hill point is an Abyss Nexus near the player house and Greymane camp; some guides refer to the surrounding area as Thinker’s Meadow. You must retrieve its transporter disc from underground at Karin Quarry, then carry and install it at the bramble-covered plate beside the house.

- Progress House Roberts’ Estate in Dismay quest chain through Stolen Quarry.
- Complete Sealed in Stone and use the quarry crane to extract the ancient relic, opening the route underground.
- Have the Kuku Pot and Focused Force Palm. Guides place both in Chapter 4: complete Mysterious Pot at Kilnden Workshop for the pot, and learn Focused Force Palm during Forbidden Knowledge near Scholastone.
- Use Axiom Force to handle the floating transporter disc.
GameSpot’s March 19, 2026 guide notes that its original walkthrough was based on a pre-release version and that a later patch added a Howling Hill fast-travel point. Later walkthroughs still describe repairing the plate as the route to activate it, so the point should not be described as absent from the patched game. GameSpot’s Abyss Nexus walkthrough
Retrieve the Abyss Transporter from Karin Quarry
- After extracting the relic, enter the opening it leaves behind and descend into the underground area.
- Use Focused Force Palm on the obstructing wall to clear the way.
- Deal with the sentries as needed, then use Axiom Force to pick up the floating Abyss Transporter and seal it in the Kuku Pot.
The disc is the part you need to carry back to Howling Hill. Gamepressure’s Howling Hill guide

Install the disc beside your house
- Go to the stone plate on the southeastern part of Howling Hill, beside the player house.
- Clear the brambles covering it. The guides describe using a light ability or a fire arrow; use whichever method is available to you.
- Discard the transporter disc from the Kuku Pot, then use Axiom Force to lift and align it over the plate.
- Jump and use Force Palm in mid-air to press the disc into place.
The installation sequence, including the mid-air Force Palm, is described in GameSpot’s walkthrough and Gamepressure’s guide.
Activate the point and confirm it is ready
Stand on the repaired plate briefly to activate the Abyss Nexus. Open the map and check that the point appears as a blue icon; once activated, it can be selected as a travel destination. The general IGN fast-travel guide describes the blue map icon and selecting a nexus for travel.
Rank #2
- Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game set in the beautiful yet brutal continent of Pywel. Take on the role of the Greymane Kliff and embark on a journey across the continent to reclaim everything youve lost. Explore uncharted lands, encounter mysterious factions, and experience firsthand a world that is as breathtaking as it is merciless.
If the repair will not work
- The underground route is still blocked: check that you completed Stolen Quarry, finished Sealed in Stone, and extracted the relic with the crane.
- You cannot clear the wall: verify that you learned Focused Force Palm. GameSpot reported that the skill was missed during its own playthrough and that the next chance came much later, in Chapter 9. That is a guide-specific experience, not evidence that every current player has this issue.
- You cannot retrieve or move the disc: make sure you have the Kuku Pot and use Axiom Force to pick up and seal the transporter.
- The plate remains inactive after installation: stand on it briefly, then check the map for the blue nexus icon.
Pearl Abyss’ Version 1.02.00 patch notes, revised April 4, 2026, say Abyss Nexus use was adjusted so it can work while moving slightly. The notes still list exceptions such as being mounted or using Flight; they do not say those restrictions have been removed. Pearl Abyss Version 1.02.00 patch notes
