To unlock Soul Riding in Star Stable, you need Star Rider and must complete the quest in which you help the Soul Riders bring Anne back from Pandoria. Star Stable Help lists those requirements; it does not specify a minimum character level.
Requirements to unlock Soul Riding
- Star Rider: Your account must have Star Rider access to play Soul Riding.
- Anne’s rescue quest: Complete the story quest where you help the Soul Riders bring Anne back from Pandoria.
Those are the requirements given on Star Stable Help’s Soul Riding support page. It does not state a level requirement, so reaching a particular level alone is not a confirmed way to unlock the activity.

What to do if Soul Riding is still unavailable
- Check that your account has Star Rider access.
- Review your quest log and complete the Anne rescue quest if it is still unfinished.
- If both conditions are met but Soul Riding remains unavailable, check for other unfinished story quests or contact Star Stable Support. The support page does not specify an exact NPC location or a dedicated troubleshooting route.
What Soul Riding involves
Star Stable describes Soul Riding with Rhiannon as an end-game activity built around Soul Rider missions. The game’s 2020 retrospective also described the Rune Runner horse as a Soul Riding reward at that time, but that historical mention does not confirm whether the horse can still be earned now.
Soul Riding missions have continued to appear in game updates: Star Stable’s September 9, 2026 patch notes mention a fix for a cableway issue during a Soul Riding mission.
