FFXIV’s capybara mount is Mehwapyarra. Take part in the Ttokrrone FATE in Shaaloani, collect 12 Ttokrrone Scales, then trade them to Uah’shepya in Solution Nine. Ttokrrone is identified as the final FATE in the Serpentlord series by Thonky’s Dawntrail collectibles guide.

Go to Shaaloani and participate in the Ttokrrone FATE. A Dawntrail collectibles guide identifies it as the final FATE in the Serpentlord series.

Earn 12 Ttokrrone Scales from the FATE. The Mehwapyarra mount reference lists the scales as the exchange currency.

Travel to Solution Nine and speak with Uah’shepya to exchange the 12 scales for Mehwapyarra.

The sources for this unlock do not establish a dependable spawn interval, instance behavior, or current event-specific prerequisites. Treat Ttokrrone as a FATE you need to encounter; no fixed timer or guaranteed instance is established here.
You do not need Bicolor Gemstones or Shared FATE ranks for this mount’s documented exchange route. Square Enix’s Patch 7.0 notes describe those as general Dawntrail FATE systems, but they do not establish a requirement for Mehwapyarra.

Which capybara mount is this?
Mehwapyarra is the mount obtained with Ttokrrone Scales. It is distinct from the Ark Mount, which Square Enix lists as a Dawntrail Collector’s Edition bonus on the official Dawntrail product page.

You need access to Dawntrail content to pursue this mount. Dawntrail is an expansion, not a standalone game: Square Enix says players also need the Starter Edition or Complete Edition. If you already own Dawntrail, you do not need another copy for Mehwapyarra. Before buying, check the Square Enix Store listing for platform compatibility; it warns about compatibility with the Steam version, so match the expansion to your existing platform and license.
