How to unlock The Unmaking (Extreme)
- Meet the job and level requirement. Use a Disciple of War or Magic job at level 100. The official Patch 7.5 notes list this requirement.
- Complete the story gate. Progress the Patch 7.5 main scenario through A Grave Presentiment. The official notes establish the required main-scenario progress; the quest name is identified by Icy Veins’ unlock guide.
- Unlock the duty with the Wandering Minstrel. Find him in Tuliyollal at X:11.1 Y:14.6 and speak with him.
- Queue through Raid Finder. The Unmaking (Extreme) requires an average item level of 770 or above and is an eight-player duty with a 60-minute time limit. If you register as a full party, the item-level and role restrictions do not apply, according to the official Patch 7.5 duty listing.
Where to exchange The Unmaking (Extreme) rewards
After earning rewards, visit Uah’shepya in Solution Nine at X:8.7 Y:13.5 to exchange them for gear. The location is listed in the official Patch 7.5 notes.
How other Dawntrail Extreme unlocks differ
Do not assume that the level, story progress, or item-level requirement for one Extreme applies to another. Each duty has its own patch-specific requirements.

What to check if the duty is still locked
- Confirm you are on a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic job.
- Check that the required main-scenario progress for that specific trial is complete. Finishing the Dawntrail base story was the Patch 7.1 gate for Sphene’s Burden; The Unmaking (Extreme) requires later Patch 7.5 story progress.
- Speak to the Wandering Minstrel at the stated Tuliyollal coordinates after meeting the story gate.
- For The Unmaking (Extreme), check the Raid Finder listing and make sure your average item level is at least 770 unless you are registering as a full party.
- Verify the current duty listing and patch notes if you are playing after a later update. Requirements can change, and this guide covers the English-language North American Lodestone notes reviewed through Patch 7.5.
