To unlock the Deluxe Barn, first build a Barn, upgrade it to a Big Barn, then ask Robin to upgrade it at the Carpenter’s Shop. The final upgrade costs 25,000g, 550 Wood, and 300 Stone, takes two days, and increases capacity to 12 animals while adding automatic feeding and access to sheep and pigs.
What you need before the Deluxe Barn appears
The Deluxe Barn is the third building in the upgrade chain; it is not a standalone building. You must have a Big Barn before Robin offers the Deluxe Barn upgrade. Build or upgrade in this order:

- Build a Barn.
- Upgrade the Barn to a Big Barn.
- Upgrade the Big Barn to a Deluxe Barn.
Robin handles all three stages at the Carpenter’s Shop. If the Deluxe Barn option is missing, check that the building you want to improve is already a Big Barn.
Upgrade costs and construction time
The Big Barn-to-Deluxe Barn upgrade costs 25,000g, 550 Wood, and 300 Stone. Robin takes two days to complete the upgrade, and you can continue using the barn while she works.

How the barn upgrades compare
| Building | Capacity | New animals or features | Build or upgrade cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Barn | 4 animals | Cows | 6,000g, 350 Wood, 150 Stone |
| Big Barn | 8 animals | Unlocks goats | 12,000g, 450 Wood, 200 Stone |
| Deluxe Barn | 12 animals | Unlocks sheep and pigs; adds automatic feeding | 25,000g, 550 Wood, 300 Stone |
The barn animal list also includes ostriches, but the Deluxe Barn upgrade itself does not unlock them; they come from separate game progression.
Total cost if you are starting from scratch
Adding the Barn, Big Barn, and Deluxe Barn stages together, the full progression costs 43,000g, 1,350 Wood, and 650 Stone if you supply the materials yourself. If you buy all the Wood and Stone from Robin instead, the total gold cost is 69,500g in year 1 or 175,500g in year 2 and later. These are whole-chain totals, not the price of the final upgrade alone.
