How to unlock the Butcher Slayer Skin
Bethesda lists the Butcher DOOM Slayer Skin as part of its free in-game bundle for players who opt in to Bethesda marketing emails. The documented unlock route is the email opt-in; buying a particular edition or finishing the campaign is not listed as a requirement for this skin. Bethesda’s skin guide associates the Butcher skin with the Free In-Game Bundle.

Bethesda’s published instructions do not specify a delivery time, regional eligibility, or an offer end date. They also do not provide a complete signup or account-linking walkthrough for this particular reward.
Where to equip the Butcher skin
- From the title screen, open Extras.
- Choose Slayer Skin and select the Butcher skin if it is available.
Bethesda says skins are found in Extras when opened from the title screen. Extras opened from the pause menu during play only allows weapon-skin changes, so use the title-screen menu to change your Slayer’s appearance. Bethesda’s skin-selection FAQ explains the menu location.

Do you need a Bethesda.net account?
Bethesda says a Bethesda.net account is not required to play DOOM: The Dark Ages. Its support FAQ adds that an account can be used to unlock some Slayer skins made available through Slayers Club, Bethesda’s marketing-email opt-in program, and certain partner promotions. That general account guidance does not spell out exactly how to link accounts or claim the Butcher reward. Bethesda’s account FAQ describes the distinction.

- Use Extras → Slayer Skin from the title screen, rather than the pause-menu Extras option.
- Review Bethesda’s current account and email preferences, then contact official Bethesda Support if the bundle is still missing. The published guidance does not establish a delivery deadline or a universal eligibility window, so it cannot confirm when the skin should appear.
You need access to DOOM: The Dark Ages to use the cosmetic. Bethesda lists the base game in digital and physical formats; buying the game is not the skin’s unlock method. Bethesda’s game page lists the game formats.
