To unlock Lootmapper access in Roya Frostlands, rescue Soliskin to collect Soliseeds of Essehalo, then exchange them with a Giant Soliskin collector. The permit is listed among the collector’s level 2 rewards; the reported tier costs are 6 seeds for level 1 and 8 more for level 2, or 14 total from zero. Claim the permit and use it from Consumables before equipping Lootmapper as a utility.
How to unlock the Roya Frostlands Lootmapper permit
- Reach Roya Frostlands. The region is associated with Lahai-Roi. A third-party regional guide says Lahai-Roi becomes available through Chapter 3 Prologue, When the Unknown Thrums. It describes Frostlands Surface as a later Version 3.1 area, so do not treat those names as interchangeable. Nerd’s Chalk’s Lahai-Roi guide provides that regional context.
- Rescue Soliskin. Look for Soliskin caught in situations such as snow, vines, or puzzles. Rescuing them rewards Soliseeds of Essehalo, the items used for the collector’s progression. See the Nerd’s Chalk walkthrough for the reported rescue-and-reward flow.
- Find a Giant Soliskin collector. Use the map’s Compass icon to follow collector progress. The walkthrough names Bjartr Woods and Soliseed Plains as example locations for Giant Soliskin; check the live map and progress interface because the exact marker or label may differ.
- Exchange the seeds for rewards. The walkthrough lists 6 Soliseeds for level 1 and 8 for level 2. Since the permit is listed among level 2 rewards, reaching it from zero requires 14 cumulative seeds according to that tier table. Check the collector’s current reward screen if your displayed totals or labels differ.
- Claim and use the permit. Claim the level 2 reward, then open Consumables and use the Lootmapper permit. The item is described as granting Lootmapper access in Roya Frostlands, subject to authorized areas. The item listing calls it “Lootmapper Use Permit: Roya Frostlands”; the walkthrough’s reward table shortens this to “Lootmapper Permit: Roya Frostlands.” Wuthering Waves item database lists the permit’s stated purpose.
How to use Lootmapper after claiming the permit
The permit authorizes regional access; Lootmapper is the utility you activate to scan. A general guide says to equip Lootmapper on the Utility Wheel and activate it to reveal nearby Supply Chests or Tidal Heritages. Its keybind information dates to 2024, so check your current controls menu rather than relying on an old key assignment. The permit description also limits access to authorized areas, so a scan is not a guarantee that every location in the region is covered. See the Lootmapper use guide.
What to check if the permit does not appear
- Confirm you are checking the Giant Soliskin collector’s level 2 reward, not only the level 1 reward.
- Review the collector’s displayed progress and current seed total; the reported costs are 6 for level 1 and another 8 for level 2.
- After claiming the reward, look in Consumables and use the permit. Then equip and activate Lootmapper separately as a utility.
- If a location or menu label does not match, follow the current in-game Compass and reward screen; the exact tier costs and menu flow cited here come from third-party guides, not an official Kuro Games instruction.
Roya Frostlands, Lahai-Roi, and Frostlands Surface
Roya Frostlands is the specific region named by the permit. Lahai-Roi is the broader regional context described in the guide, while Frostlands Surface is identified there as a later Version 3.1 area. The permit’s wording is not evidence that it unlocks Lootmapper everywhere in Lahai-Roi or in every area with “Frostlands” in its name.
