You can eventually carry up to five accessories at once.
Upgrade Swordfighter Form at Lueberry’s House
Swordfighter Form lets Zelda attack directly for a limited time, with its duration governed by an energy gauge. Zelda obtains the Sword of Might during Suthorn Ruins after defeating the dungeon’s miniboss. After completing the dungeon, visit Lueberry’s House and examine the machine in the back corner to spend Might Crystals on upgrades. The crystals are earned through story progress and exploration; the guides also describe quests, treasure chests, and closing Stilled World Rifts as sources.
The Sword, Bow, Bombs, and energy gauge have separate upgrade paths. The weapons become available at different points in the story, so you can improve only the equipment you have obtained.
Sword of Might
Zelda gets the Sword of Might after the Suthorn Ruins miniboss. Its Level 2 upgrade adds the spin attack and increases damage and spin-attack radius. At Level 3, the sword gains a beam attack when Zelda is at full health, along with further damage and radius improvements.

Bow of Might
The Bow of Might becomes available after the Gerudo Sanctum miniboss. Level 2 unlocks Spreadshot, which fires a wider spread of arrows when you hold the attack input. Further upgrades improve damage, range, and arrow velocity.
Bombs of Might
The Bombs of Might are obtained after the Eldin Temple miniboss. Level 2 adds the Bombchu ability and improves damage and blast radius. Guides disagree on which button activates Bombchu, so check the in-game control prompt rather than relying on a button mapping from a guide.

Energy gauge
Upgrading the energy gauge through Levels 2–4 extends the time Zelda can remain in Swordfighter Form. This is a duration upgrade rather than a weapon ability.
How to spend Might Crystals
Choose upgrades according to whether you need longer time in Swordfighter Form, stronger attacks, or a particular weapon ability. Nintendo Life’s guide recommends improving the energy gauge early because it extends the form’s duration and is cheaper to upgrade, then alternating gauge and sword improvements later. Treat that as one guide author’s suggested approach, not a required or universally best build. Once the bow and bombs are available, invest in them if their added utility suits your combat style.

- Create echoes like blocks of water to reach new heights, bridge old beds, throw rocks at enemies, or find your own creative combination of echoes to do everything your own way. You can even create monster echoes to fight alongside you in combat!
Buy accessory slots from the Great Fairy
Zelda starts with one accessory slot. To expand capacity, travel to the Great Fairy Shrine on a small island in Lake Hylia, in Eastern Hyrule Field. Clear the nearby rift to reach and explore the shrine, then interact with the Great Fairy to purchase additional slots with Rupees.
| Slot being added | Cost |
|---|---|
| Second slot | 100 Rupees |
| Third slot | 200 Rupees |
| Fourth slot | 500 Rupees |
| Fifth slot | 1,000 Rupees |
| All four added slots | 1,800 Rupees total |
Five is the maximum number of accessories you can equip at once. Their effects vary—for example, some improve heart or Rupee drops—so use the extra slots to combine benefits that match your immediate goal, such as survivability, earning Rupees, or traversal.

Do you need anything outside the game?
No external accessory, repair tool, or consumable is required for either upgrade system. Swordfighter Form upgrades use in-game Might Crystals, while accessory slots cost in-game Rupees.
