Elementor templates turn repeated design work into an insert-and-edit workflow. Open the Template Library from the folder icon, choose a Block, Page, or saved design in My Templates, and click Insert. When you create a layout worth reusing, save the whole page from the Publish menu or save an individual container from its right-click menu. Keep ordinary page layouts in Site Templates for reuse on the current site, use Cloud Templates for connected sites, and use Theme Builder when a header, footer, single-page layout, or archive must follow site-wide display rules.
Antihost offers managed WordPress hosting with free migration, one-click staging and a 14-day free trial.
The three-minute workflow
For a new page, start in the Elementor Editor and click the folder icon. The Template Library opens with three useful areas: Blocks, Pages, and My Templates. Blocks are repeatable sections, Pages are complete starting layouts, and My Templates contains designs your team has saved. Search or use favorites when you already know the pattern you need, then click Insert and adapt the content to the page you are building.

For future reuse, do not leave a successful layout as a one-off. Build it once, then choose Save as Template from the Publish menu to store the entire page. If only one section is worth repeating, right-click its container and choose Save as template. Save to Site Templates when the design belongs to the current site; save to Cloud Templates when you need it available across connected sites. An Elementor account is required for cloud storage, and the amount you can store depends on your subscription limits.
Use Theme Builder instead of a normal page template for site parts that should apply through rules, such as headers, footers, single-page templates, and archive templates. For a complete site handoff, export a website template containing the required content, templates, settings, and plugins as a ZIP, or save it to the cloud library, then import it on the destination site. Which export components are available depends on the subscription plan.

Insert an Elementor template into a page
1. Open the Template Library
- Open the page you want to build in the Elementor Editor.
- Click the folder icon to open the Template Library.
This is the fastest route when the page already has a defined purpose but you do not want to assemble every section from scratch. The library is the starting point for both predesigned material and layouts your team has already saved.
2. Choose the right library area
- Blocks: Choose this when you need a repeatable section rather than a complete page. A call-to-action band, feature grid, pricing area, or testimonial section can be inserted into an existing page without replacing the page’s overall structure.
- Pages: Choose this when you need a complete starting layout. A Page gives you a full composition to edit instead of asking you to build the page’s sections one by one.
- My Templates: Choose this for designs your team has saved. It is the practical home for your own repeatable pages and containers.
3. Search, use favorites, and insert
Use the library search when a large collection makes browsing slow. Mark frequently used layouts as favorites so recurring page types can be found quickly. Once you have selected the Block, Page, or saved design, click Insert. The chosen material becomes the starting point for the page currently open in the editor.
4. Tailor the inserted design
Replace the sample copy, images, and links with the content for the page you are publishing. A template is a speed tool, not a reason to publish placeholder material. Check that every section still serves the page’s purpose after edits: a complete Page may contain sections you do not need, while a Block may require surrounding content to make sense.
For a video-game site, for example, a saved review-page layout can provide the opening hero, score area, screenshots, and verdict structure. A Block can handle a reusable release-date callout inside several articles. The speed comes from reusing the composition while changing the information that is specific to each game.
Save a page as a reusable template
Save the complete page
- Build or revise the page in the Elementor Editor until its structure is worth repeating.
- Open the Publish menu.
- Choose Save as Template.
- Give the saved design a clear name that identifies its purpose.
- Store it in Site Templates for reuse on the current site, or in Cloud Templates when it must be available on connected sites.
A full-page save is appropriate when the page’s arrangement is the reusable asset: a landing page, campaign page, review layout, or other complete starting point. Saving the page does not mean every future page must keep the same text or media. It gives you a repeatable structure to insert and then customize.

Save only a container
- In the editor, identify the container that contains the section you want to repeat.
- Right-click that container.
- Choose Save as template.
- Save it to the appropriate template location.
Container-level saving is more efficient when the rest of the page varies. It avoids copying a whole page merely to reuse one section. A saved container is especially useful for a standard call to action, a feature comparison strip, or a recurring content module that appears in otherwise different pages.

Choose names that tell another editor what the item is and where it belongs. Include the page type or section purpose, such as Review landing page, Screenshot gallery block, or Archive header. Consistent names make the Template Library search useful and reduce duplicate saves. Favorites should be reserved for layouts the team actually uses often; otherwise the shortcut list becomes another place to search.
Site Templates and Cloud Templates: know the scope
The two storage choices answer different reuse questions:
| Storage choice | Where the design can be reused | Best fit | Requirement or limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Site Templates | The current site | Layouts reused by editors working in one site | Local reuse; it does not by itself deliver the design to another connected site |
| Cloud Templates | Connected sites | Teams maintaining related sites or distributing a common layout | Requires an Elementor account and is subject to subscription limits |
Choose local storage when the design is specific to one publication or installation. Choose cloud storage when avoiding a second manual rebuild matters more than keeping the asset confined to one site. Cloud availability is not unlimited: the account and plan determine whether the storage option is available and how much can be kept there.
Do not confuse a saved template with a complete site transfer. A page or container saved in either location is a reusable design asset. Moving a site configuration, its settings, and its plugins is the separate website-template export/import workflow described below.

When Theme Builder is the correct tool
Theme Builder handles reusable site parts that should appear according to site rules. Use it for:
- Headers that should apply across selected pages or content types.
- Footers that should be shared rather than rebuilt on every page.
- Single-page templates that control how individual content items are presented.
- Archive templates that control lists or archive views.
These are not ordinary page-content copies. A Page from the Template Library is a fast starting layout for one page. A Block is a repeatable section inside page content. A Theme Builder template defines a site part and the conditions under which that part is used. Elementor’s documentation separates these site-wide parts from predesigned pages and containers for that reason.
Use a Page when the layout is a one-page starting point
If you are creating a standalone game preview, a campaign landing page, or an editorial article with a custom arrangement, insert a Page and edit it. The result is page content that you can tailor to that item.
Use a Block when only one section repeats
If the page shell is different each time but a section follows the same pattern, save or insert a Block. This keeps the reusable unit small and prevents unrelated page sections from being copied along with it.
Use Theme Builder when rules matter
If the requirement is “show this header on these pages” or “use this archive layout for this content type,” build the site part in Theme Builder. Trying to solve a rule-driven requirement by manually inserting a page template creates repeated maintenance work and can leave pages out of sync.

Move designs between sites
There are two different multi-site scenarios: sharing one saved design, and transferring a packaged website configuration. Select the workflow that matches the scope of the job.
Share a saved design through the cloud library
Save the page or container to Cloud Templates. On another connected site, open the Elementor Template Library, go to My Templates, locate the cloud-saved design, and insert it. This approach is suited to a single reusable page or section. It requires an Elementor account, and subscription limits govern cloud storage.
Export a website template as a ZIP
- Prepare the source site and identify the content, templates, settings, and plugins the destination needs.
- Use Elementor’s website-template export workflow to package those components as a ZIP.
- Transfer the ZIP to the destination site through the available import workflow.
- Import it on the destination site and verify that the expected content, templates, settings, and plugins arrived.
A ZIP is the appropriate choice when the destination needs a packaged site configuration rather than one page section. The components you can export are plan-dependent, so check the capabilities of the subscription attached to the source site before promising a complete transfer.

| Need | Use | What moves |
|---|---|---|
| Reuse one page or section on connected sites | Cloud Templates | A saved Page or container design |
| Move a packaged site setup | Website-template export/import | Selected content, templates, settings, and plugins in a ZIP, subject to plan capabilities |
Do not use a website export merely to avoid saving one section, and do not expect a single container save to reproduce a site’s plugin and settings configuration. Scope is the deciding factor.
A practical decision guide
| Your goal | Fastest choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Start a complete new page quickly | Pages in the Template Library | They provide a full starting layout. |
| Add one repeatable section to an existing page | Blocks | They are designed for reusable sections. |
| Reuse a design your team created | My Templates | It stores saved team layouts. |
| Turn a finished page into a standard starting point | Save as Template from the Publish menu | It preserves the complete page design for later insertion. |
| Reuse one section without copying the whole page | Right-click the container and choose Save as template | It saves only the repeatable unit. |
| Apply a header, footer, single, or archive layout through rules | Theme Builder | It is intended for reusable site parts. |
| Use one saved design across connected sites | Cloud Templates | Cloud storage extends reuse beyond the current site. |
| Move a broader site configuration | Website-template ZIP export/import | It packages selected content, templates, settings, and plugins. |
Common mistakes and how to recover
You inserted the wrong kind of asset
If a complete layout is too large for the page, return to the library and choose a Block instead of a Page. If a section is missing the surrounding structure it needs, choose a Page or build the supporting sections around the Block. Matching the asset’s scope to the job is usually faster than deleting half of an unsuitable insertion.

- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.

Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
You cannot find a saved design
Check My Templates rather than the Blocks or Pages area. Use the library search and review favorites. If the design was saved for another site, confirm that it was stored in Cloud Templates and that you are signed in to the Elementor account connected to that cloud library.
Cloud saving is unavailable
Cloud Templates require an Elementor account and depend on subscription limits. Confirm the account connection and the plan’s available cloud capacity. If the design only needs to be reused on the current site, save it to Site Templates instead.

Check whether it was saved as ordinary page content. Headers, footers, single-page templates, and archives belong in Theme Builder when they must follow display rules. Rebuild or move the design into the appropriate Theme Builder workflow rather than inserting it manually on every page.
The destination site is missing pieces after import
Website-template export options depend on the subscription plan. Before exporting, identify the content, templates, settings, and plugins the destination requires and confirm that the plan allows those components to be included. After import, verify each category separately instead of assuming that a ZIP always contains the entire source site.
The library feels slower as it grows
Use search and favorites deliberately, and save only layouts that have a repeatable purpose. A small, clearly named collection is faster to navigate than a large archive of near-duplicates. Keep complete Pages and focused Blocks distinct so editors can choose the right scope at a glance.
A repeatable team workflow
- Prototype once: Build the page or section in the editor and remove anything that is specific to one campaign or article.
- Choose the smallest reusable unit: Save a container when only one section repeats; save the page when the entire arrangement is useful.
- Store it deliberately: Use Site Templates for one-site work and Cloud Templates for connected-site reuse.
- Make retrieval obvious: Give the design a purpose-based name and favorite the layouts used most often.
- Apply the correct site scope: Move headers, footers, singles, and archives into Theme Builder instead of treating them as ordinary page inserts.
- Package only when necessary: Use website-template export/import when the destination needs content, templates, settings, and plugins, and verify plan support first.
This workflow separates three kinds of acceleration: starting a page quickly, repeating a section consistently, and distributing a site configuration. Keeping those jobs separate prevents overpowered exports for small tasks and manual copying for site-wide requirements.

What to check before publishing
- Confirm that you inserted the intended asset type: Block, Page, or My Template.
- Replace template copy and media with page-specific content.
- Check that a section saved as a container still has the surrounding content it needs.
- Verify whether the design belongs in Site Templates or Cloud Templates.
- Use Theme Builder for headers, footers, single templates, and archives that require rules.
- For a ZIP transfer, confirm that the export includes the required content, templates, settings, and plugins and that the subscription supports those components.
The fastest choice for most pages
For a one-off page, insert a Page and edit it. For a recurring section, insert a Block or save a container. For a layout your team owns, use My Templates. Save locally when reuse stays on one site, use the cloud library for connected sites, and reserve Theme Builder and website-template export/import for their broader, rule-driven purposes. Choosing the smallest tool that matches the scope is what makes Elementor templates genuinely faster rather than simply adding another library to manage.
