To use a LEM in StarRupture, access a LEM station, choose an unlocked slot, and drag a module from your inventory into it. The installed module is described as a passive upgrade. Station access and interface details below come from player guides rather than developer documentation, so follow the prompts in your current game if they differ.

How to install a LEM

  1. Get access to a LEM station. A player guide reports that the route involves reaching Future Health Solutions reputation level 4, completing a titanium delivery mission, then claiming the station through the Corporate Terminal. Treat this as a reported route, not a confirmed requirement for every version or playthrough. See Critical Hits’ station guide.
  2. Open the station. Approach it and use the interaction shown on screen. One guide reports pressing E to open the menu, but controls or prompts may vary. The same station guide gives that key.
  3. Select an available slot. The reported interface marks locked slots with padlocks; choose a slot without a lock.
  4. Install the module. Drag the module from your inventory into the open slot. Guides describe its benefit as active while installed and no longer applying once removed. See GamerBlurb’s installation guide.

Choose a module for your goal

Player guides group LEM effects into three broad categories. Check the module’s displayed effect and tier in your current game rather than relying on a fixed ranking: specific names, values, slot progression, and stacking rules can change between builds.

Category Reported focus Consider it when
Combat Offensive or loot-related bonuses You want help in fights or with rewards from combat.
Movement Stamina, regeneration, or mobility You want to move or recover stamina more effectively.
Survival Health, shields, or recovery You want more durability or recovery support.

These are guide-level categories, not a verified list of every module or its exact effect. The StarRupture Wiki’s LEM overview summarizes categories, but its module details may be patch-sensitive.

Where to look for modules

A player guide lists abandoned bases, enemy drops, and corporation rewards as possible sources, and recommends exploring Points of Interest early on. These are reported acquisition routes, not guaranteed drops. See the StarRupture Wiki’s LEM overview for its acquisition summary.

What “LEM” means—and what is confirmed

Unofficial sources do not agree on the acronym’s full form: one calls them “Limbic Enhancement Membranes,” while another uses “Logistics Enhancement Modules.” It is safest to call them LEMs unless the game itself confirms a name. Guides consistently describe them as an in-game passive upgrade system, not an external accessory or consumable purchase.

StarRupture is an Early Access game by Creepy Jar. Its Steam listing gives a January 6, 2026 release date and shows a September 2, 2026 Quality of Life update and an October 5, 2026 hotfix in its update feed. That listing does not explain LEM mechanics; use the live station prompts and module descriptions as your immediate reference.

Star Scrappers: Cave-in – Board Game by Hexy Games Studios 2-4 Players – Board Game for Family 45 Mins of Gameplay – Games for Family Game Night – Kids and Adults Ages 12+ - English Version
  • In the far future, countless alien species explore the galaxy in search of fortune and fame. The last interstellar war ended over fifty years ago and since then peace treaties have been in effect. Trade routes are set, civilizations flourish, and a new source of power was discovered – the Hexis crystals.
  • Star Scrappers: Cave-in is the first game in the Star Scrappers series, set in a rich and exciting space-western universe, with a unique gameplay mechanics.
  • Players take roles of Galactic entrepreneurs, rival mining bosses who compete in this difficult, sometimes even merciless industry.
  • As a mining boss, you will have to recruit new mercenary laborers, use their skills, and collect precious artifacts. Your job is to excavate the Hexis crystals but never let your guard down though, as your competition is waiting for a chance to buy off your trusted men and steal the bounty from under your nose! The goal of the game is to get as many victory points as possible before the crystal mine collapses.
  • Star Scrappers: Cave-in uses a unique game mechanics called “discard building”. With every action taken, players put their mercenaries into their discard piles. The order of the discarded cards matters because your top card is your Leader and gives you a special action at the beginning of your next turn. Beware, if your discard pile grows too much, it will draw the attention of other players who will not hesitate to steal cards from you – they’re just bribing your men!
