To show more clothing, hair, and other catalog items at once in The Sims 4 Create-a-Sim (CAS), install a compatible third-party mod. The game’s built-in CAS settings do not provide the column changes covered here. The selectable launch layouts for Codayada are also described by Mod The Sims. Neither cited listing confirms which mod release supports your installed patch, so check the creator’s latest release notes before installing.
Check whether your screen can fit more columns
More columns need more horizontal screen space. If the layout is too wide, catalog items may be clipped or unavailable to view. Weerbesu’s release gives these resolution recommendations for its fixed layouts:

These are the creator’s recommendations, not guarantees for every display or setup. The page notes that Cats & Dogs may need a higher resolution to show all columns in Create A Pet, and that reducing the game’s UI size may allow more columns at a given resolution.
Install and select a layout
- Open the chosen mod’s creator or listing page and read its latest release notes. Confirm that the release supports your installed Sims 4 patch; a version number shown on an older listing is not confirmation of current compatibility.
- Download the release and follow the creator’s installation instructions. Choose only one of these mods rather than placing both in the game.
- For Weerbesu’s mod, select the package for the fixed column count you want. For Codayada’s, use its documented option for the launch layout, then adjust columns in CAS as the mod allows.
- Launch the game and open CAS to check that the catalog fits on your display. If items are clipped, choose fewer columns; with Weerbesu’s mod, consider reducing UI size or using a higher resolution if available.
Recheck compatibility after a game update
A mod’s listed game version and the game patch you have installed are separate facts. If Sims 4 updates, revisit the mod’s release page and confirm that the creator lists support for your patch before relying on the mod.
